It was 33 degrees on the Beach Friday as in Palma Nova as we speak staying at Fergus Tobago. Weather been really good. Due to rain tomorrow but I'm going home.

Having been in Palma Nova since 1st June. I have noticed in the last 2 / 3 days double the amount of people now on the beach. Got a lot busier but just right.

The Son Matias beach wasn't much to talk about before 1998 (?) when the big Palmanova beach renovation took place. Enormous amounts of sand were brought from somewhere to enlarge all the beaches and the promenades were created. In the days of the small beaches in the 1980s there were often so many people on the beach that the next person lay 20 inches from you. It's nice to see Monroe's, where I began my "career" in the early 90s. I'll email Andy and ask if he's still working there when I come in August.

Am in Palma Nova now and was in the Be Max Beach House last night. Alex you must have walked past me. I have been here since the 1st June. Noticed in the last 2 / 3 days got a lot busier in the resort. Was 33 degrees on the beach on Friday. Last 2 nights a little nippy at night and windy, but calmed down today around 28 degrees today. Recommend Papis for live Music every night after dinner if staying in Palma Nova.

I don't think there are Michelin star restaurants in this area, but there are a few in other areas of the island. Marc Fosh in Palma for example (I've never eaten there tho, so I can't actually recommend it)
