in the 1st EMRA race of the year meeting back in 1986, in the 250cc production class, i seized an engine throttling off to tip into the lake Esses at the end of the straight (there was no silly chicane then) - probably hitting the deck at about 100-120mph. . . . . i then slid on the wet track at 80mph, then on the wet grass at 60mph and into the tyre wall at about 30mph . . . which practically 'exploded' as they were all filled with that Winters stagnant rain water . . . . never mind the friction burns & road-rash - *I NEARLY DROWNED!* , ha ha ha ha

Thanks for your efforts dude. Hope you have had a good Christmas and New Year. Looking forward to seeing your work this year. I'll be at Donington a couple of times this year and Mallory for a bank holiday weekend too hopefully. I'll keep an eye out 👊

very impressive off the chap at 3:37. Though i imagine the reason he pulled over was to gather his thoughts. Maybe wondering if he has a new seat and new underwear in the van !

Those highsides out the hairpin are the ones that really hurt

Surprising how big a fall you can have at one of the slowest corners in the country

@@PescaraProductions I remember Dennis Hobbs in the BSB having a highside coming out of the hairpin it happened so fast and the height he got was unreal as stupid as it sounds it's better to have a faster highside than a slow one

CB's playing skittles at the hairpin could have been nasty

There was a very high number of 'Novices Bibs' in this meeting ! . . . or maybe you only seemed to be predominantly capturing 'their' antics on camera

More when its dry out, probably to be expected in such conditions tbf. Entries in general werent too high at this round from what I saw
@thomasdoran23632 жыл бұрын
@@danellis1253 - I understand what your saying Dan, but as an entrant & competitor, you'd be applying to race at a meeting well in advance (probably months!) . . . so you'd no idea of predicting weather conditions upon application - You're right about the low entrants numbers though. In the 80's the grids were *ALWAYS* full (35+ per race), and any late entrants were put on a 'reserve' list, & only being allowed on track to race due to mechanical issues, fall'ers, or no-shows from the punctual, early entrants
