İts a shame that neither Chiara nor Ira Losco have won the contest. Malta deserved this couple of times more than many other countries. Hope they can manage this in near future.

Breathlessly gives me such good vibes I don’t know (especially the studio version) it reminds me of the songs I would hear as a very young child. Like a song that my mom would have on cassette and when she would put on our player so I could fall asleep. I can’t hate the song just for that. It makes me so calm and nostalgic. I get the same thing from Nocturne as well.

I really like your reactions to the entries from Malta. I do share many of your thoughts. My opinion: 1971: 08p, cute and happy 1972: 05p, not my cup of tea 1975: 07p, well this was quite happy and joyful 1991: 10p, a strong song, well performed 1992: 10p, back in the 70’s, this would’ve won 1993: 08p, cool and nice 1994: 10p, feeling good and a catchy chorus 1995: 12p, a very good song and a strong performance 1996: 06p, chocked that she was so young. Nice song but bad performed 1997: 10p, I loved this song back in 1997 1998: 12p, love this performance. An evergreen 1999: 02p, very bad, 2000: 12p, love this. So catchy! 2001: 08p, cute and catchy 2002: 12p, Great performance, great song 2003: 06p, a bit old fashioned 2004: 05p, funny but not that great 2005: 12p, This should’ve won. Great! 2006: 01p, Bad, bad, bad 2007: 10p, I liked this song. Powerful! 2008: 06p, okay 2009: 08p, not that great. Like a Disneysong 2010: 08p, quite nice song, good performance 2011: 04p, nope, quite bad 2012: 05p, nope, so average 2013: 12p, loved this song from the first time I heard this 2014: 12p, Loved this too, hundred year memory for the WW1 2015: 05p, okay, but very average 2016: 10p, great performance, but average song 2017: 10p, cute song 2018: 08p, didn’t love this, but well performed

While I can‘t agree with you concerning Chiara (sorry ☺️) I do agree that the early 90s were absolutely great. Malta‘s best entries. I LOVE 1991-1995! Vertigo 2007 should‘ve qualified (love it) and my guilty pleasure‘s „I do“ (2006) 😄 One of my favourites is 2014 too. Voted a lot for it that night.

The best entry of Malta was in 2018. The song "Taboo" is one of my fave songs of Euro♡ision 2018. The song speak about animals and don't went in Final? ♡ 🇲🇹

My favourite song from Malta is My Dream. Such a catchy, yet powerful song. Sometimes I put this song on repeat for an hour; I love it that much. Other great songs are Walk On Water (so sad about the terrible staging) & This is the Night.

Malta is a very good country in ESC. For me is one of the countries that should have won a lot of times!!!! My favourites entries 1998 (Chiara what else??? My Winner) 2002 (Ira losco Is Ira Losco) 2005 (Chiara was better the My country Greece!) 2009 (Chiara Again, so my 2nd though) 2010 (Definitely a qualify) 2015 (Amber was amazing! How it didn't qualify??) 2018 (Break the TABOO and let Malta win with Chiara) 2019 (Really catchy, a song that can make you dance!!) They didn't have the best songs, but they have true Masterpieces!

Honestly, somehow Malta's songs just go pass me - never quite spark my interest enough, I'm like "meh average" and I feel that the songs are missing smt, but I occassionally enjoy Walk on Water and Breathlessly.
