He sure is cute!! I know our problem with our small dog is that we protected him too much. He’s so skittish and would be so afraid of the bath and the dryer as he is washed in the shower and towel dried in a low noise atmosphere. Then the next day is the haircut. Love watching you groom dogs and really appreciate how you describe what you’re doing because no 2 dogs are the same. 😊

I’m not a groomer but I am a vet tech. If your dog is absolutely crazy I’d have someone else hold for you while you clip. I put one arm under the neck, one arm under the tummy. Sometimes a gentle hold can help with their stress. I start with the back nails. It’s the least stressful for them. Be mindful of how you’re holding their feet. Don’t bend them in a way that’s uncomfortable. That can stress them out, and be the reason they scramble. Make sure you clip a little bit at a time if they have black nails, to make sure you don’t quick them. (Quicking is when you make them bleed on their nails because you’ve cut too far back) If they have pink nails only clip right before the pink part. Have some flour or kiwi stop on hand to stop the bleeding. It’s okay if you do quick them it happens. Sweet talking can also help. It helps them know you’re trying to help them, and that you want them to be healthy. Give them lots of love and a treat afterwards.

Hi! Loved the video! I have a Maltese who is three months old. He is going to get his final set of shots soon and then we want to take him to the groomers. Every time we brush him he gets aggressive and bites the brush and barks. What should I do because I don’t want this to happen at the groomers.

Ask your groomer what he seems reactive to and work with the pup by making sure you don’t reward her biting (stopping when she bites would be considered a reward) only stop when she is behaving. So maybe a brush session will last 5 seconds and that’s okay.

Find someone and bring him often. Meet with the groomer before making an appointment to check their vibe. Being pup with you so they can meet him! If you feel good about the person set an appt with them :)

Cats are basically self cleaning creatures and shouldn’t smell badly. They do not need baths unless they get into something dangerous for them to clean off (like tar or paint). If your cat smells badly enough that you think cologne is necessary then you should really bring your cat in for a checkup, just to make sure they are healthy and only smell like a cat should.

Plus I do give her regular baths even though I knw they clean themselves but the reason why I do this so if ever she needs to bathed she isn't traumatised.

@@AB-pp3fe Burts Bees makes a dander reducing spray that smells nice and keeps your cat’s fur soft. There is also a company called Paw Brothers that makes pet colognes. Chewy sells Top Performance Fursions cologne, but they smell like 80s night at a skanky Jersey shore nightclub lol.
