Well done guys. I did multi stage rallying back in the early 1980’s with my brother in a Ford Escort Mk2 GP 4 so I’m as jealous to death of you all. As we used to say “make em ave it”

That was a cracking day in Langdale. I was at J5 safety radio. Really enjoyed seeing you guys putting the miles in. I’ll be out on the Riponian next year again and plenty of other rallies in the Yorkshire forests and the East Ridings at Coom Hill by the entrance to the hall on safety radio Silk24

I grew in the small town of Hinckley in the 70's, at the time the place had one claim to fame. Roger Clark, the man who put the Mk1 & 2 Escort on the rally world stage. Funnily enough his day job was selling Renault's! I remember catching a glimpse once of a works Mk1 tucked in among the Reanult 4's and 6's.

Think Roger started rallying as a driver in a Dauphine. He then had an early mini then a Mk 1 Cortina GT. Clarks became ford RS dealers .

The majority of young lads have to buy , build and finance their own cars and rallying ! With your money, backing and resources you should be doing WRC events ! Just saying like! 😁
