Yes here in US you have to have at least BSN graduate and your nursing curriculum should be accepted by the board of nursing here and pass the board exam. Yes the nursing curriculum in the Philippines is the same in USA. In the USA things that are done by RN are within the scope of practice, of the nurse. Germany is behind in practice. Before you can take NCLEX, your credential should, be assessed by the board, otherwise you can’t take the test.

Here in USA ..No need to be or to have BSN to apply and work as RN here. You can have Associates in Nursing which is less than 3 yrs in some private school here or even in a community school as long as you pass the NCLEX board exam after schooling you're good to work once you are NCLEX passer, while working as an RN you can continue to get your BSN if you want . When you're done with your BSN there's not much difference really to the work load on the floor except if you want to work in the Admin. of your facility. And if you are from other country you need to find someone or facility that will sponsor you to work here.

To practice as a license registered nurse in USA you need to meet the requirements and one of them is to pass the NLEX and when you apply to get this exam, they screen your transcript of records from college and if you meet them, then you take the exam, if you pass it ,you need to find a petitioner ( hospital or nursing home) to sponsor you for working visa or permanent visa so you can work. It’s a lot of work and requirements to follow but if you’re determined to come to US and work it’s not impossible. You just need determination and patience 👍

RN is only a two-year course here in the US, and LVN is one year. You have to pass the board exams to be able to work in your field. Full time work in a hospital is 12 hours a day, 3 days a week. Overtime pay is hour and a half. You don’t need a Bachelors Degree for RN in the US, but you can take BSN if you want, although your title is still RN and the starting pay is the same.

What is allowed or not allowed for a nurse to do is NOT THE REASON WHY YOUR HUSBAND CANNOT WORK IN THE US. Because when he will come here, he will be trained to do those skills. I have worked in Europe as well. And I get what they are saying. I cannot just place an IV needle, I have to call the phlebotomist to insert it for me even if I know how to do it because it is the hospital rule. When I came to the US, I was able to do it and training has been provided as well. If he really wants to pursue nursing here, he has to take NCLEX(nursing board exam). But before that, he needs to also pass the english test and have his credentials evaluated by CGFNS to get a permit to take the NCLEX. Now, the tricky part is if his nursing education is equivalent to the US curriculum. If he completed a bachelor's degree in nursing then he for sure can qualify to take the NCLEX.
@maricorjoaquin8243
@maricorjoaquin8243 2 күн бұрын
Angels’ education obtained in Germany is not a bachelor’s degree in nursing but a vocational or practical nursing. That is why his credentials will not pass the requirements for BSN when evaluated by the CGFNS. He needs to take additional units to qualify or pass the CGFNS credentials evaluation. Only after that can he apply to take the NCLEX-RN. However, if he wants to work in the US as an LPN or LVN, it might be a different story because the US might consider his German education.

@@maricorjoaquin8243 You're right. There is an NCLEX-PN(Practical Nurse).That would be another option for him. He can start as an LPN/LVN and he can top up from here if he really want to pursue nursing here. Some hospitals even offer discounts or tuition fee reimbursment to LVN's taking there BSN. They can always inquire from CGFNS because that is their first step before anything else.

As a U.S. nursing grad w/ BSN, you have to be certified on all invasive procedures. As a nurse here, you can give IMs, IVs, Foley/ NGT insertions, blood transfusion, cardiac defibrillation, etc. But all these hv to be with doctors orders/ hosp protocols as well ( but nurses are very well trained on these procedures). Angel is correct, you will stillneed to take some nursing classes & clinical hours equal to U S. standards. So U.S. & Philippines are same standards on BSN even the books, etc. If you didn't graduate with Bachelor's degree in Nrsg ( undergrad) beforehand , you will never qualify for NCLEX. Unless you're a green card / student visa holder, then you can complete your U.S. units & clinical hours. I know bcoz i was an undergrad & fortunate enough to immigrate & complete the rest of my challenging nursing units & painstaking clin hours here in the U.S.. A, ( FYI).

Pag nakapasa sila, saka sila mabibigyan ng license as LPN or LVN. Kaya nag sagit diyan, pwede lahat mag work sa US pag may NCLEX sila or may LVN/LPN license sila. Mag aapply lang sila kung saan state nila gusto mag exam. Pag nag apply ka for LPN/LVN exam, irerequire nila mga transcripts of records mo from school kung saan ka nag aral, at irereview nila kung pareho ba dito sa US ang mga curriculums na pinag aralan niyo, kung pareho pwede ka mag exam, kung hindi at may mga kulang, kailangan mo muna kunin ang mga subjects na yun para makumpleto mo ang curriculums mo based on US standard. Saka ka lang makakapag exam ng either NCLEX for BSN , or LPN/LVN for vocational nurses. Ito ang Tamang proseso po... advise from a BSN RN here in US 😊 Good luck .

They won’t even allow to get you IF you are just working in a clinic or home for the aged.

Nursing standard in the Philippines patterned to IS standards. That's the reason why Philippine nurses are preferred all over the world. At the moment be content with what you are into otherwise you will never be stable as you keep moving places. Too much talk, simply a BSN degree far from what you were trained or have studied. In my opinion as a medical assistant in Germany you cannot just inject if you are not certified, we must have done this extra Fortbildung „Impfassistenz“ to be able to inject, and Angel is right, you have to feel sure about doing it. We were once asked in school, „when are you allowed to inject?“ we all answered when we are certified or when the doctor delegates us the work. But the answer was actually: when we can do it and we trust ourselves doing it. Intravenös is not only done by the doctor, we too are allowed to do it. I am not a nurse but i think nurses do more job on the patient than us medical assistants. And in my opinion i think it is also not allowed in the Philippines just to inject, this job is delegated by the doctor, you cannot decide it yourself as a nurse it should be decided by the doctor, just like here. The only problem is that nursing here is not a bachelor so it is not automatically certified in the US. Other way around nurses in the Philippines also needs to do the certification here for a year before they can also work here.

Simple explanation: if you took the Bachelor's degree in nursing in Germany, you can apply to be a nurse in the US. But there are also other requirement which is passing the english language exam and the NCLEX (nursing board exam). If you want to make sure if your nursing degree is accepted in the US, you can contact CGFNS since they are the once that are doing the credential evaluation for nurses applying for NCLEX.

It’s already explained very well by that guy on the video. No need to look elsewhere. You need a bachelor’s Science degree in Nursing and is a basic requirement to be able to take the NCLEX exam in the US and pass it to be able to become an RN in the US. Period. YOU NEED TO LEARN PROPER ENGLISH TO WORK HERE IN THE US, SORRY TO DISAPPOINT YOU GUYS.

@@cecilialiao920 Kaya nga. Straight to the point na lang sana kasi ang dami nilang sinasabi na IV/IM and what they are allowed or not allowed to do. The main point lang naman is if he meets the requirement for him to take the NCLEX which is a bachelor's degree and the english test.

That means Papi will be consider Licensed vocational nurse or Licensed Practical Nursing here in USA. He can always go for 1 year of schooling to become RN( Register nurse). You don’t need to have a Bachelor nursing to be able to work as RN here. As long as you graduated as RN no need to be a Bachelor an associate degree is ok as long as you pass NCLEX you can work as RN the only different is your salary of course BS degree in nursing pay more. Pero Mali iyang friend mo na kailangan Bachelor lang sa nursing to work as an RN no you can have Associate degree in Nursing and once you pass the NClex to work as an RN here in USA. Maybe Papi can continue taking more classes in Germany for nursing(RN). Papi don’t give up keep trying.
