The hip thing happens to soldiers a lot. We run in formation on pavement on the imperial side of the road in the states (our roads are slanted off to the should for rain run off) and it causes an imbalance which eventually turns into a sharp pain during exercises like flutter kicks where it feels like your hips gonna pop out of the socket. It carries over into your other exercises because your body starts guarding the injury and that exacerbates the issue. And heck yeah, the work repetitions add to that. They call it an over use injury. So if you're pedal kicks are right foot forward your racking up extra points on that hip flexor. I found a video from a physical therapist on here that gives an exercise routine to help correct the issue using resistance bands. If I saved it I'll post a link. Don't let it keep getting worse into your 40's. Other things start to fall apart if you do. 😂

Don't make the mistake of being young and gung ho... oh wow thats crazy never thought about that, and some roads here are also slanted! gotta keep on top of the injuries!
