Hesh is so fucking temperamental since they nerfed it. It used to be THE round to use when you knew the armor values of your opponent. Now it's less effective than HE overpressure, and that's saying something.

Honestly people who think you don't need to aim with HESH are the same people who complain about HESH being broken. You can just click anywhere on an enemy tank and expect it to pop. You still have to consider what you are hitting, HESH doesn't actually pen except against much weaker armour, it causes the inside to spawl which can be eaten, like you see happening a few times in this video. Also the pen is not actually that high, iirc the 183mm HESH on the FV 4005 is only about 127mm, so UFP a tiger II isn't going to get you very far but overpressure rules still apply. What HESH gives you is options, and when hit somewhere the HESH can pen, either through its own unique effect or simply general overpressure it will do severe, often fatal damage. (Sorry if this is hard to read, comments on yt mobile are pretty bad)

Стреляешь в трансмиссию и ломаешь только трансмиссию, потому что у тебя снаряд так устроен, он проламывает броню, а потом осколки летят перпендикулярно листу брони который пробили. 7:36 у данного танка в месте куда ты попал, 100мм лист металла под которым такой же 100мм лист металла, и ни один фугасный бронебойный снаряд не может туда пробить.
