Well, all. I missed so much fantastic TV when I was working 2nd-shift. Now I see how innovative it was then. So great. My last recolicions of great comedy was: 1) Taxi, 2) Barney Miller, 3) Night Court with John Larroquette, 4) especially...Married with Children...after season two, 5) and "Everyone Loves Raymond. I hope you too agree. So many other comedies not seen from 50's (Show of Shows", Honeymooners, etc. Oh...Don't forget Sanford and SOn when Fred fights with Ester. What a great team they were.

Tim Conway had a short-lived variety show which is where Simpsons voice Miriam Flynn came from. He would do bits where audience members would come on stage and perform skits. One show had 'a woman' called from the back and it was Eunice Higgins. She was such a ham as usual, said it was her big break, they were doing Joan of Arc. Finally, they tied her to the stake and left her to burn. Everyone left the stage. But it was hilarious when Eunice came screaming from the back of the audience.

This was probably recorded in the day of camcorders and VHS tapes. The show was taped, but they didn't have a way to preserve it except by recording it onto a camcorder. Probably later they converted the camcorder video into digital capture and eventually it made it's way onto youtube. Not exactly professional, but it works. And yes, the audio is a bit weird due to room reverb, being that they were using the camcorder mic to pick it up and probly needed to turn the TV up loud so it was audible.

Yes, this was "celebrity week," but all of them are playing characters -- hence Momma and Eunice from "The Carol Burnett Show," and McLean Stevenson and Joanna Gleason (their real names -- I can't remember Joanna's character name) from the short-lived "Hello, Larry," a show set in Portland, OR, where she is the program director, and Larry is the on-air talent.

Carol has been playing on Password since she was in her 20's in the Garry Moore Show days; just look it up on KZbin. She's a veteran and most experienced player ever. She doesn't need to cheat. She's awesome at this game.

TaliaNikki C ....Carol wasn't given any answers I assure you....As said in another comment, she was a veteran of the game show, also, Carol is an incredibly intelligent individual....and very competitive....she pays very close attention, and really focuses on the "Letter" they're on when guessing, and I guarantee she was perturbed at herself for days because of missing the word "missle"

On another segment of this show (Part I, I believe it was), a commenter pointed out that Carol Burnett and Elizabeth Montgomery (of "Bewitched" fame) were two of the absolutely best guest stars on Password. Greg Morris was also incomparable as a guest star. Lucille Ball was also amazing in her prime, but as she aged, I noticed quite a decline in her skills at Password. So many incredibly intelligent people on all of these game shows from the 70s and 80s, when I was growing up. I know I am forgetting people from the 50s and 60s, on such shows as "To Tell the Truth," "What's My Line," et al. You can see the wheels turning in their minds when they really make an all-out effort to do their very best! Steve Allen, Arlene Francis... so many more people I could mention here. But back to this show: IN NO WAY were any of these folks being fed lines. Federal law actually (still) forbids this, thanks to the game-show scandals of the 1950s.
