This gem, an unsung gem of empowerment and sheer joy!! In remembrance of my sister Kent. You are loved and may you keep on drumming that off-beat track

I LOVE LOVE THIS MIX! I played this in the clubs and it always packed the floor! She is greatly missed.

This song & Remix resonated with SO many, so many years after her passing! Nobody could sit while it was playing in the clubs in the 90's. She gave me tremendous hope to be my own person when she first sang it, and still does! She left us too soon, RIP Mama. 😎☮️

She never had a boyfriend? Did she? Back then, I guess that the guys she came in contact with were too shallow. She a was good singer and had a nice way about (great personality) herself. But those were still much more difficult times (than today) if you were a female and overweight and also a world-renowned singer and performer. Actually Michelle was married to John Philipps, I always thought or assumed at the very least the other guy in the group was her husband as well. Found out he wasn't. What was he doing in the quartet if he had really no personal interest in Mama Cass-Elliot? Because she may have desired him from the time the group first formed in the late 1950's or early 1960's. I felt bad for her, although she made it to the top, she got burned too much from her closest confidantes. She passed away in 1974 from a heart attack at such a young age. So sad.

Really? I think it adds even more joy and even more of an uplifting vibe. I think it was a great way of taking an older song and tastefully giving it new life.
