I had a patient will me her once feral cat. It was about 2 years old I could only scratch his jaw at first and NEVER pick him up. After 2 years I can now pick him up, pet him all over. He loves to snuggle on me in bed. He is the cat in my avatar. A very sweet cat now.

Many times the moms are not feral....just skittish from being on their own for so long. I do not think Beauty is feral. Sad that she was not given a chance to be a pet. I have taken in cats like Beauty and after a while they become snuggle kitties! These ladies are well intention-ed but they do not know how to read a cat.

Do you realize this is a time lapse video? And she was with them until they were ready to be adopted. Momma cat was fixed and released because she is no longer a house cat. Unlike dogs, once cats go feral, it's hard to retame them. So its best to let them go (and fixed, so they do not continue to breed) The kittens on the other hand after being removed most likely went to a house with cats and learned how to be house cats before adopting them out. They don't just pulled them away from mom the second they are rescued. They know it is important for mom and her babies to be together.

A lot of people don't understand that Cats are not as domesticated as Dogs, and they can actually live a Normal Happy Life in the wild. That's one of the reasons I Love Cats. Elizabeth M, why isn't it best for the cats? I won't assume people do or don't have experience in the matters they discuss. But I can tell you, from experience, feral cats can become very loving pets. Yes, it does take patience, but just because it's time consuming, doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. There might be exceptions, but I've personally found homes for many feral cats I've fostered and prepared for adoption. I still have 2 of them myself, and they all turned out to be compassionate, healthy, and grateful pets. Most of them didn't even need litter box training. Though some did.

It was not one the best rescues. They scared the cat so the tramp failed, then they allow the cat came back and picked up one of the kittens. Sometimes they are worried about the cam and they miss what the animals are doing. But, of course, most of the times they make a great job.

I only ever saw the mother with the cats in the cage. Never after that. I think the “mother” cat was not the real mother. This video was edited since the first comments. I love their rescues but something was botched here. Why wasn’t the mother shown with the cats in those 6 weeks? The best rescuers always show that and document things very carefully.

I recently adopted a stray mama cat who was found with her newborn babies. The kittens all got placed right away. And the mama for all the trauma in her life is just the sweetest thing ever. I’m so glad we found each other

For anyone wondering why the mother cat was released back out. Feral or wild cats, more so adults have a very little chance of becoming domestic pets. they have lived they're whole lives outside and away from humans. So putting them in a house with people is like caging them, they become stressed and aggressive, tend to bite and scratch. Most feral's brought in to shelters are killed simply because no one wants them and they can't be domesticated. Some expectations are really hurt cats who can't go back out and someone is willing to take care of them or just the type of cat, each one is different so a feral adult could like the indoor life. Anyways once released they are made sure to not be able to reproduce (neutering or spaying), stopping more babies and stopping things like cat aids (yes cats get aids). These feral's are looked after by people, they get food, shelter and medical if they need it. They prefer that life to being locked up in a fancy cage. So the mama cat will be fine and live her life well. While the babies have a chance at a home.

Yes, a colony. AKA a special environment where the feral cats still get food, water, and controlled shelter that allows more freedom for the cats. Still, it’s basically a home but more outdoors. On top of all this, occasionally there is protection from predators, but those environments are then closed up so the feral cats don’t wander off where they become vulnerable.

Some people eat cat meat in my country, I have tried it before, it tastes similar to beef but I did not like it much because it has so many bones

I like Chinese food too, but not cat meat. I'm Aussie and I don't eat Kangaroo and Emu meat either. I'm a white meat person (chicken and fish).

Helen Ivanic You should try it, it's honestly not bad when marinated properly, the only bad part is that is has so many bones but if you can handle fish than you can probably handle cat too
