Such an inspiration. Watching this makes me miss my grandmother, I use to love cooking in the kitchen with her when I was little. Gosh, if I am blessed to visit Chapel Hill, I'd love to stop by Mama Dips for a meal.

I love!! this story. Mrs. Mildred was a hard working business woman. She cared about family and they loved her as well. It's good to see that the family is keeping the family business alive and not selling the business to other races of people.

OMG, I loved this woman. Started eating there back when she was taking lunch money made to buy items for dinner. She kept many a UNC student well fed with home cooking! She had a sweet smile and infectious laugh.

Wow, what an inspiration. I remember my days as a young girl in the kitchen with my grandmother watching her cooking and baking. That is how I learned to cook watching my grandmom...she was from Columbia, South Carolina. Watching this video on Mama Dip makes me wish I was under her wing to learn her cooking style. Old school southern down-home style cooking is a gift.
