Lambing continues, as we wind this winter group down closer to the end! But, as one group finishes, I'm prepping another for some June lambs!
However, this little mama wanted NOTHING to do with it.

Love watching your channel. I love watching those little wagging tails on the little lambs. So relaxing. (for me, probably not so much for you). and your lamb with it's intestines on the outside, well there are some infants born that way, they go to the NICU and obviously the undergo surgery when strong enough to put the "inerds " back. Nurses check out every newborn, measure, weigh, check hips and arms, ear position, spine grips and reflexes. .. Not often does something like your little lamby but it does occur.

You have been “my friend” when I have been seeing no one, have taught me so much about what good content is and how to live a life fully lived. You manage to balance everything, even when it seems out of balance to you. Hindsight is better sight. And then, when we got oh so much snow here in the PNW of the US, I copied your clean out technique by grabbing one shovel full, dumping it forward and then grabbing all of it. It was such a great way to clear the sidewalk. Thanks for being who you are, for getting through the scariest time of your life with us. And the sheep never were forgotten.

I've been watching your channel for years now and I finally got the courage to try lamb chops. They are yummy! Such a great flavor and tender. I watch because of the care and love you have for each of your animals, not to mention the cuteness overload. 😘

Everytime I hear the babies, I think of the video of the baby goat arguing with man. It is hilarious. And it is a plus for me is that the guy could easily pass for my own son's twin. I have done many double takes. 😊

I just can’t explain how much I look up to you and have for a little over 3 years now. I was never into KZbin before I stumbled on your channel and now I try to follow you and hype you up on all platforms. I started fallowing you when I was pregnant with my daughter, Davina, and she has grown up watching you and loving you (you have sent shout outs to her on IG before). I couldn’t imagine a better role model and human being for my daughter to idolize. You have helped me get through some very hard times, as you have helped and inspired countless others. You are a true special human being and your transparency is also just as special because you are just human, you are relatable and full of grit and purity. Take care of yourself first and foremost. Sending love from Arkansas!

I think you did remarkably well to hang on to that ewe, wrestle her down to the floor, hold administer the cedar, read the tag and then guide her back to her group. Herculean effort on your part I must say!! I'm pleased to see Jess out helping you a bit however not I'm sure as pleased as were after your recent experience has been of her health issues!!

Me and my girls watch your videos every time you post one. You have taught us so much about life and the process of birth and even death. I wanted to share this because we have goats and today one of our goats have birth to twins. The odds were not in our favor because it’s the coldest day of the year so far and she had them while we were at work. When we got home one had passed and the other cold. My kids jumped in action to warm her up and we got her inside but her temp just said low and not even an hour later the second one passed. We understand life and death are apart of this process and you have helped us in many ways. Thank you for all that you have done and please keep making more videos!

I ran across your utubes a good while back on tv so I decided to subscribe and also to let you know that I suffer from anxiety terribly, but, with getting to watch your utubes at night has done wonders for me! I love the lambing and seeing your sweet family brings me such peace. I have prayed for Jess and will continue to do so. Thank you for putting your life out there for those of us to enjoy!

I totally understand your sentiments re you don't need a present. My son lives in London (UK) 300 miles away. My daughter is studying in the city nearest me but as is the way with adult offspring, they have their own lives to live and sometimes Mamma is last on the list of priorities. Last Christmas we were all ill with covid and my parents were in hospital. This Christmas, I had lunch with my parents, tea with my brother, his wife and my nieces and I had both of my babies with me. The gift of family is worth more than gold. Stay safe and well, Sandi. Thank you for showing us your life and keeping us positive xx

still loving the videos Sandi, but it does look like you are losing a bit of weight, are you looking after yourself as good as you look after your family and sheep? Sometimes when there is a lot going on eating and taking a rest goes right to the bottom of the pile. I understand that- but please sweetheart take a minute or two to care for yourself. It's totally selfishness on my part cos I look forward to seeing the antics of the sheep and watching out for the zoomies. Best of all though is seeing your lovely beautiful smile when things go right :-D. Happy New Year all the way from the UK.

Sandi if that ever happens again and the lamb is otherwise healthy looking. You have 2 choices either put the lamb down or wrap the intestines in plastic wrap to keep them moist/clean and call your vet. The lambs intestines can be cleaned and placed back in so long as they are still nice and pink and the defect can be closed. Survival depends on the individual lamb some make it some don’t.

Prayers for the surgeons' hands to be guided, the whole surgical team's eyes to see what needs to be seen, ears to hear what needs to be heard, minds to think clearly and make excellent decisions so your husband's surgery goes much better than expected and his recovery time shorter than usual. May you have confidence about this surgery, that all will go well, and a Peace about it as well. My your husband have that Peace and confidence, as well. God bless you all, richly.

When I was about 4 my Dad brought home a newborn lamb that was rejected by his Mother. We were able to bottle feed it for a bit, which so fun. My Dad fashioned a leash for “Jo-Jo” and took it for walks. But he had to go back to the farm when it butt my brother down ( my brother was about 2). But the final straw was when my Mom was bent over cleaning the kiddie pool and well you can use your imagination, bye bye Jo-Jo. I love watching your videos. You have a great passion for your family and sheep! Thanks 🙏🏻!

Sandi, I have taken care of human babies with exomphalos, and yes, agree that for an animal, it is a blessing for the lamb to be stillborn. It is a long road for babies to recover from that defect. Living vicariously thru your videos. Sandi, you are getting this RT thru year two of Covid. It is videos of lambs being born and frolicking, and my dog life, that balance job stress. So glad Jess has bounced back well and hopefully both kids get back to classes safely.
