Boundaries are actually things we set for ourselves, not for others. So “it’s none of your business” is a good start, but it doesn’t lay out your boundary for yourself. It would sound something like: “It’s none of your business. Please stop talking about it. If you continue to talk about it, I will not be able to be around you.” And then if they continue, you hold the boundary of not being around them. It’s a whole different ball game when we realize that the boundary we’re setting is really for ourselves. ❤

As a mother myself, it is DEEP in us to worry and want to make sure our kids are safe. It has NOTHING to do with controlling it is all about making sure of safety. I let my mother-in-law and my father know when we arrive at our destinations, because I know as a parent I will worry until I know they are safely there. I think most of that (from my point of view) is the traveling, I don't need to know day by day or give my family my day by day. Just when you are traveling long distances.

I don’t understand how she doesn’t comprehend it! I don’t have kids but a dog and whenever someone else is watching her I want to know where she is, what she’s doing, I think of every scenario that could go wrong etc etc. Of course an actual human mother feels this 10 fold, how are any of you functioning at all away from your kids 😂

I’m 100% with Gwen on the location thing. I’m a mom of 4 that I birthed, 2 that adopted me and a daughter in law. It might be unreasonable, but knowing their location calms me so much, same with flight info etc.

I don't need to set boundaries with my mom it's my dad. He drives me nuts I can't go anywhere. He gets so upset and says we'll I guess we're not going anywhere this weekend as if we were most likely anyway. He acts like he makes the plans for the day. My mom does. I don't know why he's like this but it kind of feels controlling at times but I also feel it's out of love and he just wants me to be their. Cause my dad has no friends so I'm his friend and I hink as my parents as my friends but man let my little social life live a little too.

Look, in regard to peeing in the shower... I'm a new mom, my sweet girl is 5 months old. Alone time and privacy is limited 😅😅 sometimes you gotta find a way to cut time, peeing in the shower while shampooing your hair. Shit if I could find a way to take a nap during this time, I'd do that too 😅

I hate to break it to yall - but 30/31 days in a month is OVER 4 weeks. There’s like 4 and a half weeks in every month, which is what makes it more than 9 months. So yeessss you’re so correct that it’s technically more than 9 months, but it’s not because “months only have 4 weeks” It hurts my brain every single time I think about it

27:45 BUT there are hundreds of planes…and hear about a plan crash in a general area when someone is flying… if you know the flight number…you know right away if you should be worried. Not knowing would lead to more stress and worry.

They actually count your pregnancy from the first day of your last period. Not your missed period. So technically we aren’t pregnant at that point.😅 it’s weird idk why they do it that way..but I think it’s why 37/38 weeks is actually considered full term.

Yeah.... my adult daughters don't understand that I will always be their mother. I will always care. I will always worry. But they DO know I will always be there for them. P.S. Peeing in the ocean may not be a good thing either. I believe I developed a UTI from that.

How tired would you be after being Colleen (Erik) or Jessica (Christopher) for a day? Love my kids but I never had anxiety until I had them LOL. Keeping humans alive isn't for the weak. Plus I was an only child, having a boy and girl I now see how they argue and fight at moments - It is exhausting. Plus the stress of financials and day care costs. I had to stop at 2. I can understand how it isn't for some people and they shouldn't be pressured to conform.
