So good. I made this cake or years. It is my daughter’s favorite. I put holes in my layers with a fork so the icing would seep through. Made it so good. My daughter is allergic to nuts but they would be good.

My mama is from Wrightsville Georgia and she made this cake Frosting. She would start icing the cake before it hardened and poke holes in the Layers so the icing would drip down. She also used the same recipe but used Brown sugar instead of white sugar and made a caramel icing. They are absolutely delicious
