Side note, if the dryer vent ended in the closed up wall... you may want it checked out. That's a lot of moisture being pumped into that closed space. You can get mold. Better have someone look at it.

I have an idea for the hallway walls... Get pics of each of you at the same age. I would do poster size because those walls are huge but you can choose whatever size. Just make sure each pic is the same size. Minimal frames because you don't want the frames to get the attention. Your kids will love seeing all of you at the same stage of life. Just an idea. Totally love the videos. You get me through my week. All of your kids are amazing in so many ways. Lots of talent to be proud of for sure. My hubby's family had a fire when he was little and they lost everything. He is still scarred by that and he stays on all of us about everything. So thankful for him and his loving heart. I would think that vertical vent pipe , even connected, would have a problem with micro lint collecting over time at the bottom where it connects to dryer. This would need to be checked and cleaned out often. Remember to always check pockets of clothes too, people, because just yesterday a woman and her daughter barely escaped their very small home because a lighter was left in a pocket of pants and dryer caught on fire. They lost their two golden retrievers and cats and the house is total loss.

I just solved our sock problem. I have 9 kids. I had the same problem with the same color as my 14 yo wears 13 in men’s and my 3 year old wears 10 toddler. Anyway, it was a nightmare sorting the sizes. Anyway every kid gets a different color. Found a 50 pack on Amazon that is for my middles that all wear the same size. Then grey, white, and black for my oldest kids. I have 4 boys that are that size so I did one long black and one short black pack. Anyway they each have a lingerie bag with a zip tie to hang near the dirty clothes hamper. When full, they zip and run it through the wash. They have another empty that they put back in their room and they leave clean, dry socks downstairs on a hook so they can grab em and go
