Happy New Year, everyone! This is a tutorial for beginners by a fellow beginner! It was my first and probably only tutorial video, so please forgive me if it was difficult to follow!! Check out the other tutorials linked in the description if you need more help. ♡

It doesn't matter how high you lift your leg. Practice feeling comfortable on either foot. That's AWESOME ADVICE!😍 Its my 1st week back in 35 yrs. Its like learning all over again. Strengthening your core comes in time. But it comes. I see a BIG difference in my confidence with balance. Your brain has to realize your body had found its equalibrium. ❗❌ 🚫👀👇 dont look down. Your not skating that way. Your going ahead so look ahead. 😁 Im a beginner 🙋💃💃😁 good luck . 🙌 Its videos like this one😍 that gave me and continues to give me motivation to keep trying. I don't fall much anymore. I feel amazing. 😉🌞 be free and happy😍😍🙋 anxiety has no place on skates😍💃💃

Ik this is something small, but showing your progress with the toe stops (and wearing protective gear!!) Really helped. I have candies, so just the little tidbit that you can take your toe stops off to practice drills made me feel a whole lot more comfortable. I'll be doing that with other drills as well! It's sometimes discouraging as an outdoor skater with cheap skates to see tutorials from dance skaters who have been skating their whole lives. Yours was the most helpful tutorial I've seen because it made me realize I can do these things AND have a slow progress and it not be the end of the world. And I can apply this to other tricks I learn in the future 💕

This looks so easy but so hard at the same time !!! Great tutorial, out of all the other videos I’ve seen this one just clicks me. And you’re right, it takes to practice to nail this move.

A tip for anyone who's having some trouble with the turn (I was practicing on outdoor wheels so the grip made it hard), you can try lifting the heel of your front foot just a little to make it into a pivot. If doesn't need to be as high up as the heel of your other foot; just take the weight off your heel and keep it on the balls of your feet. I actually accidentally learned how to balance on my toe wheels doing this lol.

This technique is made so much easier by having a strong routine that strengthens the legs and balance. Learning mechanics and basics first prior to tricks and the tricks come super easy. I learned this in 5 minutes of never knowing how before by using this fact.

What I do right now looks almost exactly as your "day 21" ... I know that I should bring the foot further forward on the toes, but I already am on all 4 wheels when my feet pass each other. So the dribble is a littlt ebit more "behind" my body centre. Your video makes me hope I can make it, because I see all the stages I went through in your first attempts as well!

Can u please tell me did u have to practice balancing on ur toes first, because I know how to pivot to make turns already. All the other tutorials I've watch says to practice skating on ur toes first. It looks Ike all your doing is sliding and turning your flat foot as u turn and roll your other foot to the front. Please reply.

@whalium8892 жыл бұрын
Note: take out toe stops and use jam plugs. start with a lunge. Back foot on front wheels. When you move back foot to front, after it reaches front, put down all wheels. When you move front foot to back, after it reaches back, go on front wheels. For alternating dribbles, practice carves. Front foot all wheels down and is the one that does the pivot. After you turn you slide it to back and pick up heel to continue dribble. Back foot stays on front wheels and goes to back. Slide it up and place foot down to continue dribbles
