Someday, people of this generation are going to look back and realised they've missed a masterpiece over some upbeat ordinary song. Windflower is in my top 5 mamamoo songs. It is so sad to see it is so underrated. We feel sad and happy because we are humans. An upbeat song may be desirable in a party but this song is so relatable when you are dealing with life and all its stresses and depression, which all kinds of people have to overcome. This is my favorite Mamamoo song very likely. Really strong lyrics and the HK cinema shooting is amazing for the MV. It actually started doing better on the charts a bit after release, but on release it didn't chart super well. This will likely be a cult hit somewhere down the line. When you listen to a whole lot of KPOP and music in general it takes a lot to really stand out and keep coming back to it.

Windflower is not your usual breakup song. It talks about the pain of seperating from a person (whom you actually loved)due to certain circumstances. The song also talks about getting over the pain of breaking up gradually (hence the lyrics, "gets better day by day") in a very realistic way unlike other breakup songs that talks about how toxic the ex was and how much you hate them which is very generic. While toxic relationships exist and i am proud of those people who have walked out of such relationships, it is also a fact that sometimes we have to part ways from a loved one due to certain circumstances and i think Windflower perfectly expresses that feeling of pain beautifully. Windflower is very unique imo.

I love how this MV shows 4 different ways of handling a breakup: Hwasa is dancing and releasing all her pain in energetic moves and following the rhythm of a good song. For those saying they are underrated. They are internationally, but not in S. Korea. They have one of the largest fanbase in their country - composing of mostly female young adults. In the earlier days, we used to be a bit quiet and peaceful fandom who stayed out of trouble as much as we can, but new international fans came and some are toxic and boastful and that scares me because it might ruin the peace. So far, there aren't any major problems. A lot of y'all are nice. (In Korea though, the fans focus more on streaming on (*music sites) than on videos.) They are always topping on the charts. (I don't know with the recent comeback though 'cause I'm taking a break) I do wish that the girls get more famous internationally while the growing fandom would remain peaceful. I love all 4 of them so much, and I wish them happiness and success.

I am absolutely in love with how the MV, the lyrics, the colour and the name of the album are so intricately connected. To start with, the colour blue, represents feeling _blue_ as in, depressed, sad, lonely and maybe even longing and this is beautifully presented in the lyrics. Secondly, the album name is BLUE;S which is obviously such a wonderful play on words because it has the emotions, the colour and the genre that the song fits into (correct me if I'm wrong but after doing some basic research on the genre, Windflower DOES fall into that genre with its mournful lyrics and strong instruments) So that's colour, genre, and emotions all blending beautifully. Only MAMAMOO.
