On Solar's KZbin (Solarsido) channel she tries many new things, and she often says that she likes to try new things, that it's part of her personality. She even said it in her last video (Legendary Halloween Makeup Challenge): she has no middle-ground when it comes to herself, that if she does something, she goes all the way. So there's a good chance that she likes to suggest looks for herself for their MVs. And even if someone else comes up with dramatic ideas (for example the unibrow in this video), I'm quite confident that Solar is happy to try them out instead of meekly accepting them against her wishes.
