It’s funny, I just watched moana with my daughter, and when the water moves out of her way, she said to me “only God can do that.” I loved hearing her say that with such conviction.

I'm not a mom, but alot of this resonates with me. I simply don't do manicures, hair salons, wasteful shopping, extravagant spending, and I stopped wanting what everyone else has. I've also recently stopped going on Facebook and Instagram because it just sends messages of how I should live, what I should buy, how I should look, etc. I've reduced the videos I watch on KZbin as well. I only watch content that up lifts me, makes me feel peaceful, enhances my life and inspires me to live an abundant , slow and meaningful existence.

That’s a really tough position to be in. I’m not a mom but I can speak to what my mom did that helped me. My mom was really good about bringing in what the Bible said when I questioned their choices or reasons, and for me specifically, that satisfied the why and helped me better understand what the Lord said and desires for us.

I think the most important thing is to explain and teach your children why you are raising them the way you are. Tell them why you don't allow them to do certain things. It doesn't mean they may never push boundaries or walk in disobedience but if you've told them why and they do it and see that truth come to past they'll trust you and understand your wisdom.

This is the best way to get an important message across to as many people as possible. Slowly I think everyone that is meant to know are slowly waking up if they aren't already. This was so helpful and relatable and so happy to hear someone speak up about this. Having children teaches you so much if you allow it to. God is using you in a powerful way, I felt the goosebumps hearing this spoken out loud instead of internal constant dialogue. 💜🙏🏽🤱✌️ Single mama of 3 here, this helps a ton when you don't have support 👌

I get compliments on my hair all the time! I was surprised to see women loving my natural hair. Great job mama! I have saved so much money stopping the nails and hair color. i’m 26 and began getting gray streaks pretty early on. it was only tiny little gray hairs popping up then suddenly the past 2 years it’s really grown out. i’ve never once thought to dye it because i know how awful it can be and how much effort it takes. honestly, i feel unique and beautiful because the gray hairs began coming full force when my relationship with the Lord began growing very intimately. maybe that sounds silly to some but proverbs 16:31 does say “Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.” so i’m choosing to believe this hahah

I think what’s being described in the video is wanting children to maintain their black and white thinking into adulthood. The world is nuanced and complicated, I do agree however when minds are that young and impressionable it is important to guard them until they are able to discern for themselves how they would like to carry themselves through the world. I understand the fear, but I would rather love, joy and peace reign over my little ones heart. And I would never want them to be afraid of their curiosity or the unknown. Fear brings out such an ugly side of people.

I have been praying and praying about how to take more control over my motherhood. I started crying in this video because it could NOT be more timely. God really spoke to me through this. I had an hour long conversation with my husband about so many things I want to change. You really empowered me through this video. I cannot thank you enough .❤

Amazing. Also, I feel like your naturally darker hair is perfect for this new era of Milena. You’re not watering down your words, your true and bold and convicted. 🙏🏼 Keep praying and sharing your journey with us. It’s helping so many out there, including myself 🙏🏼

Wow, just wow. I LOVE seeing the wisdom that God is blessing you with! YES to this whole video 🙌🏼 I remember EVERY single song and line from every single Disney movie that I watched when I was a child. I wish I had watched Biblical movies and listened to songs that glorified God so I could’ve remembered THOSE things, not Disney songs that constantly play in my almost-30-year-old head 🥴

I’m not a momma at all, but this makes me appreciate my mom from sheltering certain things from me. My mom would be ADAMANT about not having Harry Potter, Twighlight, Halloween and other thing exposed to me and I used to think she was “doing too much”. But now as an adult knowing about witchcraft and demonic forces and especially how the enemy preys on children, I grew sooo much appreciation for what she has done. Trust and believe I am a testament of “train a child in the ways that they shall go”. Praise God truly for what you’re doing 🙏🏾

Same! I remember as a freshman in high school I was invited to a Halloween sleepover and my mom said I could go but couldn’t sleepover because she was concerned that they would pull out a ouija board. I thought she was silly but regardless I was picked up and my friend told me later that they did pull one out. She also was a no go on Harry Potter and I watched it as soon as I left the house and wondered why I hadn’t been able to watch it. But I loved what Milena said about equipping your kids to “discern what is good and evil” and it really stood out to me and I realized when I watched it as an adult, I then had the maturity to discern and filter what I would have completely absorbed as a child.

I also love that Milena addressed age appropriate monitoring. Somethings of course can be discussed at a higher level with a 12 year old and not with a preschooler yet. And praying is so so key!

When we partner with demonic-inspired toys, books, movies or even events we are will billy letting our children play on thin ice, and it’s their future at stake. I’m so proud to see some young mothers go all Mama Bear, realizing the enemy is usually very subtle. I believe your most excellent point Milena was that there is so much more God has for them. Immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine. So often we labor over what they eat, like not eating ice cream all day. But guarding their ear gates and eye gates is equally important. Praying for more blessings and revelation for you and yours. At the other side of a prayer is great reward. Remember Hod responds to His Word, pray scripture over your children.

One of my close friends growing up was super into HP and she now literally practices witchcraft. Coincidence maybe but I don’t think so. It makes witchcraft look fun and opens doors that shouldn’t be opened. My parents were the same way and I’m thankful for it!

Yessss👋 Thank you for speaking on this. I try to be so careful what we bring into our home and of what my kids see and hear but there's times when I get lazy about it so this has been on my heart too lately. So many parents don't understand how important this. I always tell myself, "don't do whats most convenient but do what is best for your children."

My friends and I just had this conversation about just movies in general. I have been more intentional about what we all watch or listen to in our family. When it came to movies for kids I noticed how my 3 year old son would copy exactly the behavior and words, and tried to limit by the behavior they’re portraying. But I love how you brought up a deeper part of it and I agree! Thank you so much for sharing! I will pray about it and I feel like my heart was already leaning towards that as well:)

You are NOT alone in this message from God, mama. We are all just being called in different pockets of the world to be the gatekeepers of our children’s innocence and raise them in the way they should go. It isn’t easy, it isn’t the path of least resistance… but God rewards those who earnestly seek Him. We will just keep doing that and praising Him for the blessings that come upon our homes and our children! Thank you for standing for Truth, sis!!

This just reminds me of the important task we have been given as moms. I have been watching and tucking away all these truths for when my little one is here. I definitely feel the struggle to be like the world, and to be set apart. Watching you make these decisions and actively choosing to be set apart empowers and encourages me to do the same. THANK YOU! As soon as you mentioned Moana and Encanto I was like uh-oh my daughter is not only addicted to Winnie the Pooh, she idolizes it. I did put her on a screen time detox for 3 weeks, but then started introducing it again sparingly a week ago. This is reminding me that I need to be mindful of not only how much screen time my daughter is getting, but what kind of screen time she’s getting.

Amen to this!! I am an aunt to my 3 year old niece, I have a relationship with the Lord and her parents don’t. I watch my niece 3-4 days a week and have been having so much conviction about what I allow her to do/watch only because her parents lets her do/watch just about whatever. The Lord wants me to limit things her parents don’t, do things with her that her parents don’t, teach her things that her parents don’t. But I’m finding it so hard to start, and this was my sign!

@@MilenaCiciotti Since we talk about convictions, I think that even the way God made our hair is beautiful! We don't need to change the color of it or modify it.
