If you want to see Kobe, he’s all around us. He’s Devin Booker’s post up game. He’s Demar DeRozan’s footwork. He’s Kyrie Irving’s clear out and let me go 1 on 5 mentality. He’s LeBron’s leadership. He’s Luka Dončić, Trae Young, and so many others’ emerging stardom. Mamba lives on as long as the sport of basketball. "Heros come and go, but legends are forever" - Kobe Bryant 1978-2020

It's crazy how almost every super star in every team is influenced or taught by him. Lebron James, Anthony Davis, James Harden, Demar DeRozan, Westbrook, KD, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, Devin Booker, Kawhi Lenard, Giannis and so on and on. If you take out fans or students of Kobe from the NBA, there is not much of NBA left.

Watched this during first semester in college and really changed my outlook on how I try to succeed in life. Honestly didn’t start to admire Kobe until he retired and the sad thing is, is that he was just getting started. Coaching his daughter team, opening up a multi sport training facility, winning academy awards, and the man was writing a book series ON FRIGGIN WIZARDS! Like it’s crazy bruh like you really gotta go after your stuff while you here man. R.I.P Mamba

Space Jam has been in the works for years, fool. The Lakers were done, and going nowhere. They weren't going to play LBJ heavy minutes with everyone out. Next, yes there are levels and Kobe isn't on LeBron's. LeBron is a consensus top 5 player of all time right now. He will dethrone Kareem as the all time scorer and the only one who's top 10 and in both points and assists. Kobe is a fringe top 10 player at best, nobody argues otherwise apart from his fanboys.
@ThisNameWasTaken0
@ThisNameWasTaken0 4 жыл бұрын
Can’t compare two greats, they live under different circumstances that they respond to in their own way. LeBron’s 3 rings wasn’t him being lucky, he’s worked so hard to get where he is now. He came to LA when Magic was in control, who by all means isn’t a great GM like he was as a player, but LeBron came anyway. The draft selections LA made weren’t the best but they’ve moved on from that and brought in someone who can be like what Shaq was to Kobe. Incomprehensible respect for KB and LBJ.
@ThisNameWasTaken0
@ThisNameWasTaken0 4 жыл бұрын
SimplyCJ That still doesn’t dismiss LeBron. Kobe was a ball hog, he would play through the pain. LeBron is a floor general, he makes the game a total team effort, and that’s how he wins. No one should be giving LeBron shit for missing the playoffs when his team was injured and hopeless. Too many young, underdeveloped guys, perhaps even busts. Watch out for 2020, LeBron is gonna dominate the NBA for the first half of the 2020s.

Kobe has been my favourite player my whole life, 2 years ago I didn’t even score in pickup games but now I’m on a top contending basketball team and I’m the starting small forward. The reason this happened was because Kobe passed, the moment I found out it was true I broke down and just played basketball all day because I didn’t want to let him down, my dream is to play in the NBA. Back in 2017 till 2018, I always reminded myself of Kobe’s mamba mentality. It was the time when I had to finish three semesters (64 units) of academics while I shuffled them with my regular work in the evening. It was a very tough and highly demanding year. My body was beaten up and mind was totally exhausted, but I kept on grinding just like what Kobe did. Because at the end of the day, it was all about the championship for him and for me, my diploma.

This man, made me said wow when i was a young kid watching him scoring 81 points right in front of my own eyes. Later on, i told myself that i wanted to be like him and only play him in nba live & 2k. After i felt that he is so invincible, i started to hate him and boo him every game i watched he played and i wanted someone to beat him so hard. Then, when i saw no one can beat him and i asked myself, why is he so unbeatable, so I started to learn from him and try to go thru what he had went thru to achieve all those things and that's when i started to respect him once again. Because i just realise that anyone would have talent in anything or in any field, but without any effort and hardwork, you wont succeed. This man is given this talent to play in basketball and he went thru so much with so many efforts he put in just so he can succeed and WE are the witnesses. I love you Kobe, you taught me so much.
