I was just thinking, if we had something like this in India with the local breeds. It would be a heaven for dog lovers and also for the strays who often don't get love and attention!

In India, people are way too obsessed with foreign breeds of dogs and ignore the indie dogs. This is such a sad reality.

Strays? it's a Cafe not a shelter. People would like to be kind but kindness costs money in this day and age. And those are Dogs, not People, they cannot moderate their behaviour and consumption. A Cafe would be at a severe deficit and would probably go out of business if they just fed strays for free, especially in a place like India where there are lots of stray Dogs. We can't reasonably ask anyone else to destroy themselves for the benefit of others, especially just stray Animals.

@@LordProteus Animal lovers will not be differentiating between strays and other breeds. Additionally, An intelligent business model will not only depend on the dog breed but also ambiance , food and facilities provided by the cafe. Strays are low maintenance and perfectly suit the Indian weather. Their living costs can be recovered from the profit the cafe makes from patrons. Plus the strays can be put up for adoption as well.
