I watched your videos to choose a folder and went for this one, also the K2 model. Shame I didn`t see a video like this, so I would NOT wiped that coating on the beamsplitter trying to clean the viewfinder))) Eventually after quite a bit of research I replaced the bs myself, have a video of that on my channel (not for advertisement but just if it is interesting). A week ago I finally replaced the bellows and hope there will be no problems with the lens! And thatks again for your videos!

This is awesome, glad it also happens to be the same model as the one I have. Glad to know the front element just unscrews, wasn't sure and didn't want to force it.

Can you consider doing a video on how to adjust the rangefinder on this camera.

Thank you for the excellent video! I have the Mamiya Six V which has a more complex winder that winds for both 12 and/or 16 frames. I worry that if I remove the top cover I’ll have a headache putting that winder back together. Btw: I LOVE the Super Fujica Six that I bought from you. That lens has a truly special quality that makes unique and beautiful photos especially on color negative film.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for another clearly explained tutorial. Is there a similar procedure for disabling an already stuck self timer on an Olympus 35 RC? I have one that is in otherwise beautiful condition. I had thought of removing the self timer lever to render it a non-issue but, unfortunately, decided to leave it in place for cosmetic reasons. BIG mistake! Someone (who will remain unnamed) decided to fiddle with something that they knew nothing about. Now I have a beautiful little camera that does not do what a camera was meant to do. If I can get the camera working again I will replace the lever with a small disc that cannot be turned & file the lever away in my oubliette... A tupperware box of bits at the back of my desk's bottom drawer - easily forgotten about! Ciao mate, 😉

Hi. Watched your video with interest and would like to ask if you have had problems with the focus on these cameras. I have repaired all these models even the very early ones with the three windows on the top plate. Those are so old they are a complete strip down even the aperture blades and new bellows made by camera bellows in Birmingham UK. The only problem I found is the copal shutters like this one you have. The 10th sec will only fire at around 100th speed and no amount of adjustment will cure it. Of course back when parts were available you swap it out. The other problem was the focus on a automat version. I have two one works but the other will not focus at infinity. There are no spaces behind the lens and in fact it even needs less space between the lens and the film plane. There seems no way of closing that distance. All I can assume is someone maybe swapped out the shutter and lens system on it. Finally id like to add please do not post a destructive video. There are not enough cameras in good condition. I recently bought and got a full refund on a 135 mamiya sekor TLR lens where the slow speed unit and other parts were missing from a good lens making it useless and a shelf queen. I know you have done many repairs but the the self timer should never be opened like that. It's so simple to remove as a complete unit. Undo the heavy spring that attaches it to the shutter and gently lift it up. It's only held in place by a pin which it slides down onto near the lever. I have never come across any shutter that it's held in place from the back side. Back in the day that would make it not economical to replace a self timer unit as the whole shutter would need dismantling. Never ever open a self time or slow speed unit. You will never get it back together. I've done it with the slow speed unit as it was a last attempt to get it working. The whole thing was warped and stopped the 1second from working. Word to anyone out there. The only way to get these working correctly is to strip them down. Rinsing in lighter fluid just pushes the oils into a new place. Any one want any more advice on these beautiful camera message me.

Thats a great list of recommendations from you. Less and less info is out there as well as film cameras in good condition..

@@muralboletube thank you. I've repaired 100s if cameras and also made mistakes as well. There is too much false info like use wd40 etc which should never been seen near a camera. Message me if you have a problem and I'll do my best to answer it.
