One thing I like about the lenses of the RB67 is that most, if not all of them, are 77mm filter thread.

I realized that just the other week cause it matches my Fuji lens. And I’m excited about that now

@@graham_white The only Fuji lens I have with 77mm filter thread is the Fujinon 16-55mm f/2.8 WR. Which lens do you have?

Although I never used the RB67 I am sure it is not a overrated camera. I own a M645 and a C330 and Mamiya are simply great. I hope to expand the family with a RB67 one day
@graham_white4 жыл бұрын
Agree. I guess I more so mean with the ever rising price point. Definitely a awesome camera but where does it become not worth the price ya know? I don’t think it’s there yet but with everyone talking about them I think it’s headed that direction. You have quite the line up. I really like my c330 and am looking at the m645 as well as the Pentax.
@ernstjan914 жыл бұрын
@@graham_white when servicing is really hardly impossible and the price is near the original price, than it's too expensive I think. Servicing isn't a problem yet, I think it won't become since it's fully mechanical. For example the Mamiya 7 is more hyped, since it has a lot more electronics
@graham_white4 жыл бұрын
ernstjan91 very good point. And yes I wish more people worked on electrical models and it was more affordable to have those done. I think that’s part of the reason I Lean towards all mechanical.

but how did you push the film? did you "push" it on your light meter and shot with whatever setting it gives? or did you just play around with the shutter speed or aperture since RB doesn't have ISO setting built-in.. great video as always, btw!
@graham_white4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I use an external meter. So if I have a 400 speed film I tell my meter it’s actually 1600, then translate those settings onto whatever camera I am using. Then push it 2 stops in development. Same concept if your using an in camera light meter. Alternatively you could overexpose everything 2 stops but doesn’t give you the same exact look. Plus I would have had to tripod everything.

@@graham_white ah thank you for the explanation! that makes much more sense now😄

@@graham_white I'm back with another question, if you don't mind.. does that method also work for shooting expired film? we know that we have to overexpose the film by 1 stop for every 10 years. So if I set my meter from 400 to 200 which is 1 stop overexpose, do I still have to pull/push the film in development? or just develop as normal? Thank you!

When I bought my medium format camera a few months ago I looked at the Rb and Rz and their price had started going up and it was not a very practical camera for me, too heavy, too bulky. I shoot landscape so I have to haul my equipment for sometime long hike. I went for the Bronica Etr instead with 2 backs, cheaper, lighter and much more practical Today so many KZbinrs used the Rz and Rb there is definitly a hype factor in the price.
@graham_white4 жыл бұрын
Very true. But that’s kinda the case with any popular film camera is hype. Granted some of that hype was created by the quality of the camera but still that doesn’t by any means it’s the best or I only player In the game. Good call on the etr. I just picked one up and I’m looking forward to trying it out. Although the negative size is significantly smaller than the RB

Cool camera. I have one. Results are great, a specially with studio lighting. The process of taking shots is something unusual and I like it:)

M L ya results are awesome. Really want to try with a legit studio lighting setup to see how that works, I believe you. Very unusual but yeah it can be fun at times and other times a bit annoying for me at least. Thanks for the input!

Slap that the shutter! Wham! The RB is a mammoth cam but a classic too. The video is great, do like lighting youve done. I'm think of getting a Bronica Etrs with some lens as theyre not too costly, what do you think?
@graham_white4 жыл бұрын
Gavin Lyons I’ve been looking at those also. Slightly smaller I think than the rb but not quite the Hasselblad. Of course much cheaper and they are great cameras. Course I think you lose the rotating film back once you leave the RB. 😕 still researching.

What is the thing that you put on top of the camera? The grey part that looks like a grip of sth
