In many of the interviews, it’s revealed how the sequel story came about. Meryl told the producers that she simply didn’t have the physical strength to perform nine musical numbers, as she had in the original movie. She wasn’t opposed to a sequel, but she didn’t want a story that she had to essentially carry on her shoulders. In those same interviews, the producers said that, without overtly saying it, Donna died of cancer. The original movie, which I loved, was admittedly over the top. The sequel is over the moon, like a two-hour pastry-binge, but it’s irresistible.

Omg I just went to see the movie and my god I'm speechless. Loved every second second of it. Laughing all the way through. I love all the songs expecially angel eyes. When Sophie realises she's Pregnant from that moment on that's my favourite part. Well done to all the cast.

I liked the producers told the girls and guys to go off and come up with a dance routine for’ Super Trouper ‘ the girls come back in minutes with a great dance routine and the guys said they had nothing, felt really bad after the girls come up with such a great performance, the guys were amazed, ..pure joy thanks Meryl.

riazsoomro That's one way of looking at it. It makes the point that Donna's dreams of making the hotel were obsolete compared to the relationship she had with her daughter. I think it's sad that Donna never got to see the baby. When it's all said and done people are all that matter in life. Everything else is obsolete.
