Looks like you did a great job, possibly far better than any contractor would have done. 👍🏻

I just finished my pool today... I wish I had found you video before. Acid to remove the joints look like a great idea (I did it by hand, centimeters by centimeters for days🙃). Did you think about putting Epoxy for your new joints? I was recommended it and it was a nightmare to apply and to wash... Hated every minute of this work 😀

Superb from start to finish, one question how long did you wait after grouting to add the pool water ? second question, what would you do differently if you ever had to do it again?

Very useful video. Thank you. One question. You describe the acid as sulphuric acid but the text in the photo says sulfamante acid. Is it possible you used sulphamic acid not sulphuric. The latter is much more aggressive.

Hello GeneralOffice, thank you for your kind comment. I took advice from a friendly local pool cleaning chap used the Spanish phrase sulfamante acid. We then went to our local swimming pool shop and asked for the appropriate product for grout removal. Sorry about the confusion - it may be a language thing!

Seems like your plaster base under tiles has failed..you really need to remove the entirety of tiles and replaster with the white Portland cement then prep for retile..use a shop vac to sick up water, there should be no water retention on step...I think your pool is cracked under the cement which should be 10-12 inch thick
