Is the trails to the water falls dog friendly? Is it very strenuous ? How long are the hikes? Love Mammoth, been so many times, but never to the water falls !
@LifeisGoodTravel4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching our video! The hike is not strenuous at all. We did see someone with a dog when we went; however, it it says dogs are not allowed on the trail so we don't know if they enforce that or not. It took us 3 hours to see both waterfalls but we stopped to enjoy them.

this is so helpful, we have been going to mammoth for years with Virus you gave us a preview of this year and what to expect. Now that we are empty nesters, we went out in December and added boarder collie now 10 months old, April a Bernese Mountain dog now 5 months old. Did you see any pups on Rainbow fall's trail head? I've backpacked with our son's to Skelton Lake, 6 years ago. In somewhat good shape. I am super slow, do you think us 55 plus this is do able terrain?

I started going to Mamouth in 1946 as a young boy. My parents had access to a cabin on Hilton Creek. Fished Hilton creek and lakes all the time, Also fished McGee and skied behind Dave McCoy's home with the rope tow. Love the trail behind the DPPile, spent many a night up there by Thousand Island Lake, Cecile, Cabin, Iceberg and Upper Iceberg plus many more. Loved Hot Creek and caught big trout around Benton Crossing. When Dave got the contract for Mamouth we skied the one lift, ropes, and Poma. Those were the days, for sure.
