Hello, Bob and Dang. Wow, today you brought back so many memories for me. Mammoth was one of our favorite places to visit.. We loved to fish, and i always remember the sound of the wind blowing in the trees and how much I loved the smell of the air. We have done so many things in the Sierra's. And our favorite place to eat was Burgers. I couldn't believe it when you said, you said, that's one of your favorites.. 😊❤ Plus, we always fished in many lakes in the Mammoth area. We loved Convict Lake, too. I enjoyed fishing in the tioga pass and Lake Lundy, off the 395.. We would go there so much, our friends would call my husband. Mr. Muir. 😂. Thank you for sharing your trip with me..I really did enjoy your video very much. Oh, and you always have the best audio. Plus, I enjoyed your last video in Ventura, another place we loved to visit too. I know how stressful it is when your trailer breaks down, too. Our axel broke on our 😢 the Golden Gate bridge. What a mess. We had to leave our trailer to be fixed on the otherwise of the bridge.. left it behind and continued on our vacation with our grandkids. Just had to hotel it all through CA, Oregon , Washington, and Canada. We did not want to disappoint our grandkids. My husband was a good man and wanted to leave us with great memories. He sure did. We left our trailer for a month and came back to pick it up. I enjoyed 😢. Just driving back the two of us, talking and laughing and making plans for our next trip. God Bless you both and look forward to your next adventure. I am going to go see my grandson 💙 play baseball. I missed the 1st game because I was at Church. But,, I'm so happy he hit his 1st home run today. Take Care your friend Martha. Sorry, I wrote so much today. I was just so happy to see your Mammoth trip. 😊

HI Martha, so great to hear from you again. We always enjoy your comments! Mammoth and that whole Eastern Sierra hold a special place in our hearts... I used to come up here with my family ever since I can remember, and we did the same with our kids. Pretty sure they will do the same with theirs when they have them :). What a horrible place to loose an axel - I cannot think of a worse place - maybe really far out in Death Valley or something like that. That must have been very stressful, but great that you guys were able to continue on with the grandchildren - I'm sure that made an impression on them - probably in more ways than one - teach perseverance too.. And awesome that your grandson hit a home run today - We miss the days of going to the fields with our kids - they both played ball at least through high school - many fun days out on the field. Thanks again for watching and commenting - God Bless!

We haven't been to Mammoth yet! It's on our list and this video is a great reminder to make plans asap. Boondocking is also our preference and we love the drone shots that Dang always kills it on. The views of the Eastern Sierras are breathtaking and it looks like there is plenty of privacy in that spot. Love the timelapse shots too in this video!

You guys will have a blast checking out Mammoth - lots to do there, both in town as well as all around. If you can spend a week or two that will be great. Depending on when you go, pick either tree cover or partial tree over, or out in the open like we were. That area could get warm in the hottest parts of summer, but in late spring or early fall its nice and the views are great. Thanks so much for the comment we really appreciate it - we need to catch up on your new Death Valley video next - just noticed it released. We love that area as well (not right now though!). Safe travels guys!

Hey guys, thanks for the comment. That would be a great addition to your map I think. Coordinates for where we stayed are 37.659205, -118.809231. There are several other campsites around there, some may even be better, but this worked well for us and was available :). Safe travels!

That was a great camping spot, and what great Vista views. Nice drone footage. Hope to get some of those great shots soon. Picked up a dji mini 4 pro. Roxanne and I fished convict lake many year ago and yep caught a few lovely trout. Thanks for sharing! Going to try to find that spot next year.

Gorgeous views. When was this filmed ? Also any concern for snakes or spiders or anything like that ?
@bobanddangsjourney
@bobanddangsjourney 19 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment, really appreciate you doing that. For the snakes - I have not seen many up in the area where we were camping - that place is covered with snow for several months a year - not as much as mammoth but it still gets a good covering. They might be there but I've not encountered any. Where we go in our next video, which is down towards Bishop definitely has snakes. We encountered a little rattler in our prior video on Bishop I think. Came right up to the campsite once it started getting dark. They don't bother me too much but you have to be careful. In terms of when this was filmed, it was actually done in late September last year. We had the footage in the can so to speak, but didn't have a time to cut the episode until recently. Thanks again for watching and commenting!
