I am obsessed with the secrets videos and another one about all the amazing Easter eggs in DCA was a delight to watch this morning. There are so many Disney history nods in this park that people just walk by every single day, and I love that the MamFam can be more mindful of all these details thanks to Molly.

Thanks for the video. Very fun to see all of these secrets. I wanted to share another secret for you to see on your next trip. On the “Monsters Inc., Mike & Sully to the Rescue” ride there’s a neat little secret to look for. When you go into Harry Hausen’s restaurant, on the last table on the right, you can see Kermit’s eyeballs as “sushi”. Something to look forward to on your next visit.

I spotted something on the Big Hero 6 newspaper that Molly didn't mention...in the lower left, the story about the Cedar St. Community Pool is a callout to one of the 2022 Baymax shorts you can see on Disney+! If you haven't watched those shorts, they're too cute for words.

When I was an early teen in 2001 on a trip to California with my family we had one day where we got to choose one park. We chose DCA over Disneyland because it was brand new and we kids felt we were “too old” for Disneyland. There is no such thing as too old for Disneyland but as young teens that was our mindset. We had the unfortunately terrifying experience of riding Superstar Limo. It was horrifyingly bad. I remember getting off the ride and not being sure what kind of fever dream I had just experienced. I can’t believe it was actually a ride that existed. I appreciate kitschy and bad in that way. This was not that. It was just bad. So much so that I blocked it from my memory until I saw a video Molly was in with Alan and Max for her old employer talking about old Disney rides. I had no idea it lasted less than a year and we got to experience it. I quickly sent the video to my brother to make sure I wasn’t imagining that we rode it. Sure enough he confirmed that we rode it. I feel lucky that I got to experience something so rare but unlucky that I will forever have that ride imprinted in my brain.

Wanted to add one detail and ask two questions. At Goofy's Sky School, you show the flier from the Babbitt Employment Agency and it does refer to Art Babbitt who was an animator at Disney. He was also the president of the Cartoonist Union who waged a strike against Disney in the 1940's. I don't know the following: There are 4 green pillars/tiles on the side of Web Slingers that refer to someone, but I can't figure out who they are. The other thing that is an easter egg is the number on Boo's door in Monster's Inc. ride. 660328 (March 28, 1966) but cannot find the link. Great Video... our family loves them.

That's Wal Rus not Teefs. He's an engineer (hence "2X the ingenuity"), who helped Rocket overthrow Lord Dyvyne (hence "kills 99.9% of Lord Dyvyne's forces"). His Easter egg has been on display since the attraction opened in June of 2021, almost two years before the character of Teefs was first introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3.

I love all of the references to Walt's home state which influenced his work. It's a shame Disney is trying to erase it all.

Definitely rode the superstar limo in my early teens. Went on it with my friend and her little brother. My biggest regret is not buying the picture they took during the ride because all three of us were slack-jawed with our eyes wide in terror/disbelief. It was truly remarkable for all the wrong reasons. Making a ride about celebrities, which by that very nature is bound to become dated quickly, was such a poor choice. Also designing them as caricatures with inhumane proportions was an uncanny valley nightmare. The coloring, the styling, the proportions all fueled a level of terror in children that made goosebumps look like a lullaby.

I've been on superstar limo. It was pretty bad. lol. The whole park was bad (with a few exceptions). We California residents were so confused on why we need a theme park about California... in California. My aunt was an imagineer then and still is. she said the ride design was originally really cool, but they slashed the budget so much that it ended up being a total train wreck. That was not a good time for imagineers creativity. Also, remember the rocket rods in Disneyland? that was previously the people mover? I loved the rocket rods.. they broke down all the time because the cars needed banked track turns, instead of the flat track, to work properly. But it was the "cheep" era and they didn't want to spend the money on the tracks that the cars needed to work. the breakdowns were too frequent so they just closed the ride. they should have just left the original people mover.

Still think Brother Bear is one of the underrated movies they made… Def. deserves a prominent place in one of the parks. I’m glad we’re getting The Lion Kong in Paris, let’s hope they do the new land justice! The Goofy coaster… Still a ‘pain in the eye’. A fair ride with cardboard theming, just like the Dino one… Really Don’t get it!

Molly..... Goofy's Sky Skool is an OTS (Off The Shelf) amusement ride known as a "Mad Mouse." I had the misfortune to experience "Superstar Limo" in the early days of DCA. It was, perhaps, the worst ride that I have ever experienced. The caricatured characters were borderline offensive (as caricatures often are). The colors were garish and the music was NOT memorable... the ride vehicles were kinda cool but uncomfortable (they're still uncomfortable... but I'm 6'4" so legroom is important to me). I love your 'Secrets' videos... keep up the Amazing work!!

I was a travel agent back when DCA first opened. I was lucky enough to go to the new park before it opened to the public. Stayed at the Grand Californian & experienced a hotel fire alarm. And I was also unfortunate enough to take a ride on Superstar Limo. Molly, as a Disney junkie & huge fan of all things Disney, I can tell you, you missed out on the absolute worst ride Disney ever let see the light of day. That attraction/ride was an absolute joke. It was horrible, lame & a waste of precious park time. Walt probably would have had a fit & fired whoever came up with that ride. It was really really awful.
