The same thing happens to me in reverse Molly. Im from northern CA, and when I go to WDW I almost always lose my voice or get a cold. For me its that combination Alan mentioned, travel, change of weather and also the time change and lack of sleep because we usually hit it hard. The musical is more meta than you realize. There was a Captain America musical in the works in the 80s. The Hawkeye series was making reference to that as a wink to hardcore Marvel fans.
