I've been searching high and low for a lawnmower without perimeter wires, and I believe I've finally found the perfect one: the Segway Navimow robotic lawnmower. Great video. It looks like a nice mower. I wish the stripes were a bit straighter, but can't really complain if you don't have to physically go out and mow! The only drawback for me is the high cost of the Luba.

Yes, the price is high in my opinion. I have tried messing with the settings all I could and that is as straight as I could get them. I think the crooked stripes are more related to the hilly terrain in my yard and the unit trying to hold the hill and keep itself on track. It sure was nice letting it mow this summer when it was blazing hot out though haha. Thanks for watching!

You can set the no-go zone mowing laps in 4:05 to 3 to help cut the edge more closely around the no-go zones.

That is my biggest issue with the mower - I gave them feedback and they apparently are working on this for a future release. I know there are several other robot mowers, hopefully launching in the spring of 2024, that mow up to 3.5 and 4 inches so stay tuned. Thanks for watching!

Your lawn is too tiny to do a full test. I'm afraid mine is the opposite. My 2 acre lawn has hills, bumps, and I can't imagine mowing under 3 inches. I really want to do this due to time constraints and a bad spine, but I am unsure without having a cookiecutter lawn if the Luba can actually handle it.

The LUBA 3000 that I have can handle up to .75 acres - with the slopes, trees, and obstacles I feel like it tested fairly well on my lawn for being 7,500 sq ft. Is it perfect - absolutely not - they definetely have some kinks to work out with this unit for areas with tree cover and obstacles. The LUBA 5000 will only go up to 1.25 acres - so if your lawn is at 2 acres, this wouldn't be an option unfortunately. The height of cut is also a drawback for me - I typically mow my lawn over 3 inches as well. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment - I appreciate it!

@@TheLawnLover New news. With the newest firmware, Luba5000 could mow 10000 square meters or 2.5 acres at most although it is still called Luba5000

What's it like under the trees? Does it stay below and lose signal

I have mixed results this summer under the trees. Sometimes it works great and sometimes it stops and resets. It has improved with their updates that they release, but I do sometimes still have this issue - just not as often as when I first got it. Overall, it is a good robot mower - especially if you plan to use it on hilly terrain or in more open areas. The key is mounting the RTK satellite up high. Thanks for watching!

How do you get 3 hour mowing time. I have the Luba AWD 5000. No setting I do, allows me 3 hours of mowing.

I do the customized setting at usually 30 and -30 degree angles and space the paths as wide as it allows. When I do this I can get right around 3 hours and mow the entire lawn before it tries to dock itself again. That said, my Luba is fairly new and I'm assuming over time that the battery life will likely decrease in my experience with other battery lawn equipment. Thanks for watching!

I have messed around with the settings and with the slopes of my yard and tree cover it's either not getting fantastic satellite signal or it's trying to over correct on the slopes. Still cuts great and doesn't miss spots on the stripes so that's a plus. Hopefully they can put out some updates to correct the issue. Thanks for watching!

It may not look like it is cutting, but it is. The reason it looks like that is the robot runs every couple of days on the lawn so there is not much growth to cut off, as opposed to letting it grow for a week or so in between mowing's and having clippings all over the place. They are coming out with an updated version of this mower (LUBA 2) that has 3D radar technology and cuts up to 4 inches high in an effort to solve some of the issues I had with this original LUBA. I will say that the original LUBA needed some improvements - namely the navigation and satellite accuracy. I am now testing LUBA 2 and I can say that they definitely took the feedback from users seriously and integrated a vision camera and improve the RTK strength - it works FAR better than the original. I think a robot is something that is not for everyone, it just depends on the needs of the end user. Thanks for watching!
