If you've ever watched the show, they rarely actually show how something is made--unless it's something edible. The show should have been called, "How It's Assembled."

Didn't even show us the firebox, or explain that there was one lol

The only problem with brass as a boiler is that it will suffer De-Zincification over time which makes the brass porous when we build our boilers we use 660 bronze to make the fittings and full copper for the jacket tubesheet crownsheet and flues and silver solder now these are very nice models I give them that :D

And that is how they make a somewhat accurate version of Trever the traction engine

@Alfie Gould It’s more just a joke about the appearance and functions of Trevor and Mamod.

Not its not,I'm stating that "Their soldering is crap" which is not "They are or they're",read it again.The soldering belongs to them therefore it is "Their soldering" if they were in the process of soldering then it would be "They are (or they're) soldering the boiler"
@fucheduck12 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing these engines use pellets to boil the water. One has to special order the pellets.

not really, just google search "hexamine fuel tablets" they sell them at my local camping/sporting store.

The last Mamod I had was powered by mineral spirits. Available in any hardware store. The Wilesco engines take fuel pellets. The Mamod engines are also much better made than the Wilesco.
