greame i dont agree with cutting hooks off get especially when they are hooked in the scissors of the mouth like that make your self a disgorger a metal pole with a large hoop type thing on end all it needs is enough room in the hoop to get your line through they make mini versions for course fishing make your self a shark version !

darrenbetts2987 not only those species but you can get 6 Gill, thresher, porbeagle < largest sharks to roam the UK waters although you'd mainly find threshers and porbeagle around the south west, probably not from the shore though I might add 😂

Well Graeme you might be a pensioner but not many of your age could do what you do! I remember sleeping on my boat in Poole harbour and it was a wonderful experience at night. Loved that fight from that bigger blue, did wonder the way that took of if it was a Mako as they do prey on Bonito. Long may your health hold out so you can enjoy catching big fish, and your pleasure and experience showed short stroking that fish. Tight Lines .

I’ve watched fishing programs since I was a little kid..... way back in the days when all you got was Ted ‘tight lines’ Tuckerman on our local tv once a week and Jack Hargreaves’ Out Of Town. Everything since has searched for the ‘I’m going fishing and you’re coming along’ feel but has never quite reached it. I just want to say that although I’ve had your books way back in the 70’s and always enjoyed them ( I remember one talking about big Morays lol ) I am enjoying this man in a boat alone series immensely. You have reached the ‘ you’re coming along’ goal, assuming that is your goal and it makes them very watchable indeed. Great work Graeme, long may it continue. Tight Lines.
