When I asked one of my sheriff friends (over 10 years ago now) that was what he told me. He then advised that my black belt was a good “start” but that I should obtain a concealed weapons permit, arm myself and to not rely on the arrival of police in time. He also told me that it is often a “clean up detail” when they do arrive. I don’t blame the police. I blame politicians. They are the people enabling these jerks.
