I made a point in saying that the bible says that "time and unforeseen circumstances befall us all". Emphasis on "befall us all". It means whether we are good or bad, bad things happen to us at some point in our lives. In the case of the building collapse some escaped and some did not, but all have been affected by it. All could have perished that morning, but about half of the complement were spared with their lives because of timing and actions of the various individuals. Regarding God's existence many do not believe he is real because of the state that the world is in and that is understandable from a human perspective. For example, can you see the wind? No. But you can see force of it - the effects that it produces. Can you see oxygen? No. But you can see the action of such a gas such as our breathing it in - the effect. And yet we believe and know about something we cannot see. Who built the home that you live in? Humans. Who built the roads, bridges, vehicles, and other things that constructed for use? Humans. Who built the universe with its complex, yet organized structures including the earth, and you and me? Can a human do that? Has anyone ever tried recreating something like that? Is it possible for them to do? Try as they will, it would never be perfect and it would never be lasting. What keeps this universe lasting? Is it evolution? If evolution caused the birth of this universe and everything in it? Why is it that nothing is taking the opposite effect, ie. Devolving? These are things to consider. However, God gets the blame for everything when things go wrong. Was it God that caused the collapse? Is it God when there's a devastating storm, earthquake, murder, theft, rape, etc? So, the next question you should be asking then is if God really exists, why does he not do something about our problems? Why does he allow our suffering to take place?

Not because she particularly deserves to have her life spared but because He decided to show mercy. If you were to ask me, I believe the death of these people is a result of man's sin. Someone somewhere cut corners when this structure was being built and a deadly price was paid.

I once had a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen. I warned my then husband and ask for him to not let us pass a certain area. He did not listen and he ended up on the ground begging for his life while we got robbed. Luckily I had my small can of pepper spray in my pocket. Another man came to help and we got away.
