WONDERFUL SPECIAL-CAR - A DREAM !! WOW - I wish that was mine. From 1978 to 1982 I had a shortened DUNE Buggy with a 1200 VW engine, 36 HP, roll bar, 195 front tires on 17" sports drop-center Steel-rims, 255 17" cross tires on special sports Steel-rims at the rear, 70 watt sound system and soft top. With this buggy I went on a honeymoon with my new wife from Germany via Paris and Nantes to the Atlantic coast, then along the coast to Biaritz, over the Pyrenees to Bilbao and Santander and back again via the Pyrenees/Auvergne and Lion. We will remember it for the rest of our lives.

A silent, electric off road vehicle is such an amazing thing. You hear everything around you, you smell the grass, the water, the trees and you get away with being very stealth and going wherever you want. An amazing innovation for us ATV nuts.

nice project, I really like the craftsmanship of the builder. I admire the complexity of the project and how precisely and skilfully he executed the fabrication. I know that this is a bit off topic, and I am reacting to the facts and statements of the subtitles... so this is not ment to argue or invalidate the work of the builder. This build is masterfully executed and I admire it. My opinion is that electric vehicles does not make the environment better yet. Since many countries produce electricity on carbon based fuel, it just relocating the place of the pollution. The carbon footprint of an EV battery production is much higher, to a whole lifetime CO2 footprint of a combustion engine vehicle. But I agree that research and development must be made, and its a great goal to improve our mobility technology to make our lifestyle sustainable. Since EV industry is broader and broader it generated a new momentum in the vehicle industry and it generates a lot of new inventions what will make the revolution of transportation.

One note on Li-ion batteries. It's not frequent draining that ruins them. ... It is frequent draining below 20% capacity that ruins them. Along with ideal maintenance & care of Li-ion batteries... if you always recharge them before they drop below 20% capacity... it won't matter how many discharge cycles they go through. Theoretically, they could last indefinitely... but that's only if you always maintain them under ideal conditions.

I can help some. I started building carts early. If ya, while the panels are attached, draw a line beside all the tubing next to a panel, then remove that panel and run a bead of silicone where the panel will meet the tubing using the line as a reference, wait until the silicone is like 95-97% cured and bolt the panels back on, it will abate a lit of the “rattle/road noise”. Also if ya do apply the “dampener” stick in pads (expensive lil buggers) get the thin stuff. It is less expensive and you not insulating anything just stopping the noise. Hope this helps.
