I started mine out with firring straps, then ran all of the electrical. 110 to 12v center, battery installation, etc. Then finished the interior. All electrical was in the right location for putting in boxes for outlets, lights, fridge, microwave, etc. Insulation went in on the wall panels and ceiling, etc. Then finished the walls, bed, and trim.

I live in Germany and know the German people love something that is easier on the environment, well thought out and is of good quality. Since my partner and I have a premade camper van, what Ronny created is amazing. The standard cookie cutter premade campervans lack originality. A custom build is unique and you can sort everything out to your specifications, heights, where you want to place everything to suit your height, lifestyle and needs. For those criticising Ronny, I suggest they try to build there own campervan out and see if they can do better? And since Germans love their camper vans, Ronnie did all his homework. What is the new GVM of the vehicle with all that solid wood. Most campervans made with compsites that weigh much less. Was the suspension upgraded as when he puts in supplies, it may weigh weigh more than the original can cope with.

The most important for campervan is insulation to keep warm at night. I dont know why you install wooden floor wooden wall instead of carpet or other material. You make the van heavier with wood and the engine work harder and breakdown in highway

It looks smart, but barely anything done as a moisture barrier. The insulation is also under done. It will get pretty cold in that van, which will create more condensation. It's definitely a nice looking van, but corners have been cut making this one.

He added a sub frame, insulation wool/fiber, plastic sheet layer, foam core plus additional foam layer padding (over wheel arches etc) then finally pine - plus sealant and paint. I don't know what else you expect him to do. You're also assuming he doesn't have heating.

@obscurazone show me where in that video he added insulation wool and plastic sheeting. Or, even a foil layer. Yes there is foam padding but that doesn't do as much as you'd think. I'm assuming he does have a heater. But, you shouldn't have to rely on that, I barely use my heater and I'm in wet and cold Scotland. You sleep in a van with just foam and pinewood tongue and groove, let me know how quickly the temperature drops in that van. I'm not taking away from his abilities. He's done a much nicer job than I did with mine, clearly a handy bloke. All depends where you are in the world.

And when you say he "shouldn't have to rely" on a heater to keep warm - I really have no idea why you're imposing your personal living conditions on someone else. You say "corners have been cut", but all you did in your comments was say "I live in freezing cold and wet Scotland, ipso facto ALL van conversions must be fit for my climate". Which, I would hope I hardly need inform you, is pig ignorant at best, dumb as fuck at worst. Enjoy your van. I'm sure his is absolutely perfect for him. He designed it after all.
