Well, it certainly looks very good BUT I see no provision for a sump. Where I live, we get rather heavy rain and this dugout would very quickly fill up with water. Even i the Army, when I set up my command post, I always had provision for a sump!!

Basic 101 shelter building...thoroughly singe the logs, especially where the log comes into direct contact with the soil, before placing them as your foundation. Those perpendicular logs won't last long before the rot at the bottom will render them useless.

They call these "underground". I guess that having ground cover on top and around it literally makes it under ground but I thought that underground meant that it several feet underground like a bomb shelter. Graves are much deeper than these "underground" cabins. I would call that in ground, like a pool.
