In the realm of property development, undertaking a comprehensive renovation project is a significant endeavor that can transform a neglected or outdated structure into a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space. Such projects not only rejuvenate the physical property but also contribute to community revitalization, enhance property values, and promote sustainable living practices.
Connor and his team undertook an amazing job bringing to live an old abandoned house. After being 10 years without anybody living there, the final results will blow your mind.

Loved this...tiny, but great for a single person or a student away from home or a limited bnb vacation home to rent out. Can't see anyone actually living here for any extended period of time given it's totally cramped feeling. I'd have kept the wide sunroof as a key fixture to the past. It was beautiful. Sad it was taken out. Missed opportunity even if refurbished with some wonderful stained glass from a passed era. Would have added to the value of the place. Also sad we didn't get a final view of the upstairs patio. You put so much work into sealing it, yet you didn't show it completed and finally furnished. So much potential and would have laid some lightweight, weatherproof mosaic tiles to give it character. You guys came so far, but just a wee bit short from a viewer perspective.

I agree with others in these comments - huge mistake to remove that beautiful old skylight. Leaving at least some of the exposed brick would have been better too. Allowing a place like this to show it's age and working with what is already there connects it to the city it is in and it's history. Renovating all of that away - it could be anywhere in any new development in any city. But - very impressive transformation.

Well done, but because they make the skylight much smaller, they should paint the walls in lighter colors so it looks bigger. Beige, gray or grayish, cream would be much better. The door to the bathroom should stay white outside and inside if they painted green wall. Thats just me. But it came out pretty good.

It's not too hard to gain the knowledge to do this work, but the financial part of it is just out of reach for so many. I bought my first home in 2016, very cheap it is an older home that needs work. But man, financially with our economy like it is right now, any remolding is a dream. I managed a new roof, but I have an extended part of the home that is lower, (two story) and couldn't afford to do the lower roof yet. There is alot of damage just from that alone. It is nice to see that there are some out there who are doing what I did in finding a home that needs work and actually getting to do the work though. Good luck, it turned out really beautiful.

Very nice rebuild, but with the stairs coming down to the front door unless there is a super drainage system those stairs are going to act like a funnel and bring tons of water into that front door. Also, the lack of windows would drive me crazy. If it were me, I would have mounted a window sized flat screen televisions into several places in the wall where there might be a window. The TV's would have been thin enough to fit into the wall and they could have been framed to look like windows. Then I would have programmed them to display an outside scene, or even an aquarium. Flat screen televisions can be mounted vertically and are very inexpensive. A usb stick could have been plugged in to give either the same or different outside scenes. It would have been interesting to know in what city this construction occurred, because it was definitely not the U.S.

My thought exactly, thought they'd refurbish with some wonderful stained glass to give a nod to the flat's past. When I saw them doing the framing underneath, I got excited, thinking YAY, great idea...they're putting in a shelf level underneath. Would be a fantastic, unique place to put plants, herbs hanging down for the kitchen, cookbooks, specialty and decorative cookware (that one doesn't use everyday). When I saw all of the dampness on the walls, and the horrible ceiling and roof, I wondered why you even started this project. When you finished the roof, I actually felt relief. Is the roof now a type of deck? I know that there are a lot of basement apartments in the north, but I would worry about rain or snow accumulating right at the front door, or ice on the stairs. I would have a hard time living there without more windows.

I very much like the design and color scheme balanced with the appropriate lighting that brings out the colors. the layout of such a space was extremely satisfying. Who wouldn't want to live here! Thanks!!

Great work but why not put in a granite countertop? Can get deals on remnant pieces for a counter that small. Wood gets scratched up easily and is a fire hazard.

Very well done. I like the traditional look of chair railing around the walls. Tying in the paint color from front room to kitchen makes it flow. Light fixtures with subtle lighting in hallway gives it warmth. Im not sure I like the black or chocolate kitchen cabinets, but I know dark color adds depth to a room. The bathroom needs a mirrored wall behind toilet to add elusion of width. I would have liked to see entire completed apartment. Well thought out planning.

I didn't like two things - they repeated a very low ceiling level which I would try to increase as much as it is possible, I would restore the large roof window (I liked it very much). I also didn't like how crew cut the space to a small dark rooms and the choice of dull beige (yellowish) colors. This is not my favorite transformation in terms of the design. Other than that, I am glad that they cleaned this dump place.

Absolutely. Lighthouse on the roof had its purpose and opened up the space. That was the greatest feature. Also not a fan of flat roofs. Never stands the test of time well, especially in wet climate conditions

Amazing work bringing an old ruined place back to life! I'd forgotten how small British and European houses are. At least you can put in more money per square foot and give it a feel of luxury. I hope you were able to put in a set of stairs for the roof so there could be a patio deck/garden/grill area. That would be a nice addition.

Great workmanship, solid job but. The word modern comes around a lot and thats one thing it is not it is very classic style 29:48 . The colours are drab. It is dark with the small rooflight. It could have been much better using a good architect. There’s one on youtube that does small houses, forgot her name, sorry. Then again good work, excellent execution. Would choose you to do my place anytime but the plans by somebody else.
