I'm a Liverpool fan, couldn't care less if Arsenal win/lose. That red was appalling. 1) Was confirmed it was for "kicking the ball away", something both Doku and Walker did in the game without a booking (did remember to book Jesus for it though, funnily) 2) They said there was 0.3 seconds between the whistle being blown and him kicking the ball, which makes it seem a lot like he actually gave it for the "foul" - something Haaland did twice in the game and wasn't booked for either - but used the kicking the ball as an excuse because he realised it was a soft foul. To be clear, I don't think the ref was "against Arsenal" or it's some agenda, I just think he's a crap ref. Same ref that didn't send off Kovacic against Arsenal because he didn't want to ruin the game remember. How can we expect any consistency in these refs when they aren't even consistent across a single 90 minutes. Sack the lot of them.

I agree with everything except the bit about Doku kicking the ball away. If you watch it back, the ref clearly points towards where the free kick should be taken, and then Doku passes the ball back towards that area. He wasn’t delaying the restart of the game.

1: Michael Oliver pulled walker out of position to talk to him and did not let him get back into his position before arsenal started play. They then went onto equalise. He’s allowed the goal. 2: before the season started, the players were told kicking the ball away would be a yellow. Trossard knew what he was doing. 3: Arsenal then proceeded to defend brilliantly second half before they started to fake injuries for the last 20 minutes resulting in 7 mins added time. Saliba then went onto celebrate just before stones equalised. They’re professional players. It’s not over till the whistle. Both teams got a deserving point. Simple as that.

And while I haven't forgotten things go their way massively against Liverpool last season, Arsenal were mugged off today, and what a surprise. It is Michael Oliver. The same Michael Oliver, as a reminder, who gets paid by UAE to ref games in the UAE. Man isn't flying in economy class, hiring his own taxi nor staying in some hotel on his dime either. This man legit went from the best ref in England and arguably world football to one of the dodgiest for a good handful of years now. The refs are generally shite, but this fall off isn't being talked about enough in the media.
