Great video. I immigrated from Manchester to Sacramento, Ca in 1981. Always went to OT to watch the Reds, saw Bobby Charlton's testimonial. Here we have a new proposal in front of City Council on Nov 12 for a 12,000 seat new stadium for our Sacramento RepublicFC which should be a shoe-in. Really happy to see united progressing to a 100,000 seat stadium at the site at Old Trafford.

Watching this channel grow on for years and witnessing Sam create top class content like this brings me real joy. We're talking about so many things from small details of a football match and reviews and lineups to discussing about developing the whole manchester. I live in ordsall, have done since I was 6 months old, it’s a ten minute walk from old Trafford and the thought of all this happening around the corner is very exciting, with the regeneration of Salford quays over the past few years turning into a beautiful space nothing like when I was a kid, the thought of all this coming soon can only be a good thing, I just hope they repurpose old Trafford in some way, I have so many memories of growing up around OT that it would be sad to see it to regardless of what replaced it.

@@jonnieclarke5074- I understand how, and why you feel the way you do, and I’ll never tell a fan that their opinion is wrong on this subject. However I’m 62 now, and first went to OT as a 10 year old back in 1972, for me personally I’d like to see a new stadium built. I feel we have to move with the times, I’m tired of our club being second best at everything……we should build something so the next generation can create those new memories in a truly world class stadium…one that will still be fit for purpose long after I’m gone.

Fantastic work once again with these deep dive vids. It's time to build a new cathedral IMO. It's been done in United's history previously, well before the SAF era, and it's now overdue. To compete in this era on global scale, United need a new OT stadium. I just hope they do something with existing stadium which preserves the fond memories. Reset the standard of what a new stadium should be, and then hopefully the team make history there too.

My main concern is the affordability of not just the sporting facilities for the average fan but also the affordability of the surrounding “urban development”. Usually that means hotels, restaurants and housing only available to the wealthy. There should be a goal to allow the people working in the stadium to be able to afford to live, eat and play in the same area.

Absolutely. Sam mentioned affordable housing in this development. Well, I`ve heard it mentioned in other developments too. It never seems to be manifest in the finished article. Don`t set your hopes too high that it will here either.

Proper quality content u keep producing man. This channel is by far the best channel that's related to United. Always fair in your analysis of United. Keep on keeping on man. A for a new stadium it's a must. I get all the sentimental regarding Old Trafford but memories are with that individual. We can easily fill a 100k stadium

United are my obsession, and I watched my first game from the Stretford end in 1963, so as you can imagine, I’ve more or less seen it all. But you have lifted my viewing pleasure to another level. I’ve always enjoyed your delivery, and down to earth, unpretentious commentary, but , just lately, your posts, and, in particular, posts like the one here, are truly off the scale in professionalism and content. I’m sure I’m not alone in thanking you for what you do, and hope you continue for years to come. I can no longer get to games unfortunately, but your channel is the next best thing. Well done on the video Sam it’s great! As a lifelong United fan and from Manchester, I like the idea of the whole regeneration area and the new stadium, but do I want them to demolish our Old Trafford Stadium NO, but I think it’s time where Manchester United have to look towards the future and not always to the past. The past for Manchester United has been great, but if the correct changes are made then we could have an even better future!

A really well-made video. I have some issues with the plans (not the video) as a lot of it is already there: 1. A new tram stop has been added at Pomona as recently as 2018. 2. There is already a museum - the Imperial War Museum of the North. 3. There is already an arts venue - the Lowry is already in Salford Quays. 4. Hotels / Accommodation are in abundance in Salford Quays. 5. Retail - Impact on retail at the Quayside, Trafford Centre and even the City centre itself. A lot of the plans appear to be solving a problem that doesn't exist. The big issues are: 1. Parking 2. Transport links, especially Trafford Road

Nice video. I'd love to see the red brick style referenced throughout the design of the stadium and stadium complex. It has that pure connection between Manchester's heritage, traditional architecture and the shirt's colours.

I heard Andy Burnham recently talking about how the next stage for public transport in Manchester was an underground. This would have to include a connection between Old Trafford and the city centre.
