@@jovaughnthompson354 agreed but at the same time Kompany was playing with otamendi, lescott, mangala, demichelis he did play with stones but he was no where near the player he is today. Kompany tried and often times succeeded but in some of the big games and champions league nights he couldn’t hold the entire back line by himself. Strictly In the defense alongside him Dias has had much much better players around him than kompany did most of the time. Can’t really compare the 2 and say our defensive solidarity is single handedly due to Dias therefor he’s better than kompany and the sole reason why we have done better in the UCL

During Pep era at City: Haaland & Ruben Dias are the only big signings that had terrific debut season and i feel like Ruben Dias is the most crucial signing in Pep's City career. They had a disappointing 2019/20 PL season, KO by Lyon in UCL and they started the 2020/21 season very poorly but the last day Dias signing changed everything

Not discredit Ruben or any other Portuguese player but as a Portuguese citizen I just wish that Portuguese players would play for the national team with the passion they do to their own clubs, everytime I see Portugal national team playing I feel Im watching a Portuguese 2nd league club playing, its very rare to see Portugal playing well for the potential that we have. We Portuguese are very selfish sometimes... its sad. Im pretty sure we would be at top 3 national teams in world every single year and the pure exemple of that is Spain, they have good players like us and the difference is that play with heart for their national team and they are very smart and the result in around 10 years: they have 1 world cup and 2 european cups.
