As a young pregnant woman 27 years old I was asked to apologize in front of the church that I belonged to for being pregnant, but not married. I prayed about it for several weeks and I asked God to forgive me for my sin. After that I felt that it wasn’t necessary to go before the entire church to apologize, because I had asked God to forgive me. And, for me that was all that mattered. God is the only one that can forgive us for our sins, not man. To me those rules are strictly CHURCH RULES, that I thought no longer exist. That was 49 years ago, I left that church and joined another church to which I am still a member 20 years later. To God Be The Glory, Forevermore!! Amen 🙏🏾
