What you describe as Christianity and being a Christian is not what those terms actually mean. Christianity is not a religion; it is in fact anti-religion. You described one of the religions claiming to be based on Christianity. You describe Christianism and being Christianist. Christianity does not teach hell and eternal damnation, but teaches the universal salvation of all. It does not teach man's free will, but instead teaches the sovereignty of God (kingdom of God) - i.e. an Almighty God. Such an understanding of God logically precludes the idea of free will and sin as commonly conceived. Promoting free will and sin are two or the pillars of all religions, which support a foundation for gaining control over people.

@@jacksonmartin8899 I understand exactly what you mean. You have defined what Christ like is and yes, that's what being a Christian is supposed to be. Unfortunately humanity has wrapped systems of fear around what should simply mean being loving regardless of creed, color, etc. I think people like you are helping clear the fog.

Thank you Jeff. I want you to know that I was a Christian for years myself, but just like you, a lot just didn't make sense. It's easy to get caught up in Christian hype. Also, just like you, I discovered Emanuel Swedenborg and that discovery brought forth so much joy. Emanuel also had a gift where he could just tap into the afterlife.I think he had what's called OBE's (Out of Body Experiences). What I've found is that we're all going to the same place in different ways. an old expression that comes to mind is "different strokes for different folks." God loves us all EQUALLY. Again Jeff, thank you very much for your story.

Many NDE's talk about a life review where they experience their life in that heightened state of awareness. There is only love there and I can well assume that experiencing how horrible one was to another life here from that perspective, as well as actually experiencing that impact, can't be at all comfortable in the case of what we see as heinous crime. That in itself shouldn't change anything any one person does here but it shows me how an eternity in torment makes no sense. That way of forcing the murderer to be the victim as well as experiencing all the tragedy of the victim's family/friends and beyond... well, what do you think that feels like? Dr. Jeffrey Long has studied 4,000 NDEs, and not everybody sees Jesus when they go to the after life, to be greeted. There are billions of people on this planet that have a different belief system. So they see somebody different up there that greets them. For example some of these Amazon Tribes, Aborigines . . . what they see are not buildings like the western civilization sees, but rather trees and a path (for example), and they don't have somebody that looks like Jesus greeting them, something or somebody that looks completely different greets them. The Aborigines, may, for example, worship Baiame, known as the Creator God, which played a significant role in Aboriginal Australian mythology. The entity or individual that greets people is typically someone that they are familiar with, it gives them a comfort level. So you're not going to have an image of Jesus greeting an Amazonian tribal member. Ahhh you didn't think about this one did you?

The book is structured as a collection of questions regarding the origin of spirits, the purpose of life, the order of the universe, good and evil, and the afterlife. Its answers, according to Kardec, were given to him by a group of spirits who identified themselves as "The Spirit of Truth", with whom he communicated in several Spiritist sessions during the 1850s. Kardec, who considered himself an "organizer" rather than an author, grouped the questions and their answers by theme, occasionally including lengthier digressions the spirits had dictated to him on specific subjects, some signed by philosophers such as Augustine of Hippo, Thomas Aquinas and writers including Voltair

@@Darkdusk87 this concept that a being that is love and life itself is capable of the human concept of punishment is what keeps people controlled. If my experience wasn't enough for you, let me put it this way: why would a perfect being of pure love create something imperfect and then punish it for being imperfect? There are however consequences. The same way that one may lead their child to suffer the consequences, this life allows us to learn for ourselves. I understand this is hard to grasp. There are many other NDE's that have a life review and in this they normally experience everything they've ever done and the impact that had on anyone it would impact. For me that's more than enough. I think hell is about control - one can threaten a person's property, safety, well-being, even their life, and still fail to control them. But if one can successfully threaten somebody's SOUL, then they are controlled forever. It also is of some weird comfort to people that those who have done evil to others are suffering eternally - sounds like vengeance. But if the afterlife is about forgiveness (leaving all attachments to this world behind), why wouldn't that apply to everyone? I've seen others say what I'm about to - if hell is suffering, we're in it right now, on earth. Why does God allow such suffering on Earth? He doesn't - this is 100% on us.

That's a thought I've also heard many times and indeed, if we're burning off some karma... that sounds like hell so to say. I like the way Swedenborg defines hell, though it's still within Christian systems, he describes it as a kind of poetic justice. I'm not 100% on board with his writing as I am fairly sure we stay nowhere for eternity. I think we're more like constantly moving and living through many existences.

Thank you Jeff for your testimony on your experience and about religion. Totally resonated for me. Was a religious person for a long time and then finally saw the hypocrisy of it all. Now when I read the Bible I see a story of a "God" who when looked at from the perspective of a detached investigator appears to be more like an alien overlord telling his followers to go on search and destroy missions throughout the "holy land" killing those who don't submit. Even telling them to kill all their livestock along with every man woman and child. And then the bible says this God is a loving God but he is a "jealous" God and a wrathful God and a God you must fear .

Why would such intricate life be created only to put some kind of limit on it like belief? Why would the embodiment of love and life itself make something imperfect, capable of making mistakes, then eternally torture for being that which it made? I think that's the only real thing we need to get out of our heads. What's waiting for us is what we already know. We've always known. If you remember back to your earliest memories and try to remember how you felt about the world and your own existence, you'll start to notice something. There's nothing but a kind of love there but you didn't yet understand what it was. I think part of what we're doing here is learning to appreciate our own existence. The term after life is actually a bit silly. When the human experience is over for us, we come back to ourselves and leave the room. That place is as I described, a limitless saturation of love. It's really where we are. We're just concentrating on this right now. That's the best way I can think to answer your question. Hope it helps 😊

I respond by telling them if Hitler is in this hell they believe in, that would mean the Jews he killed were in the same place because they don't believe in Jesus. They're not using common sense. I always ask them... "If you were standing there and saw your son/ daughter (any loved one) being pushed into this eternal hell, would they be okay with it?" That’s why people called HIS followers the way, the west changed it to religious for money…. But Christianity isn’t religious it’s deep teachings to the source GOD HIMSELF

Thanks for your comment 😊 I really appreciate what Swedenborg wrote. I think it has a lot of merit and should be taken more seriously. His writings are evidence that the vast majority of NDE's are very real as far as I'm concerned. Furthermore, since his writings are so Christian based, I think many many people would be able to connect to it. Unfortunately though, his writings are not a very good business model. Love and compassion... that's about it really though he details pretty much everything out. I don't agree completely with him but that's the beauty of free will 😊 I wish you all the best!

Normally people experiencing NDE tell where they found themselves or/and what happened when they 'come back '.. When I miss such statement I just wonder why they skipped that, or have that never been an NDE.. maybe just a hallucination as this man started to describe his 'passing away '.. I find it crucial to tell about that.. because that's the rational part of 'going for a while then coming back '. Am I not right !?

We are constantly deciding in our lives. Almost everyone on the planet has heard of a kind of concept of heaven or hell. Those that see hellish things rarely spend much longer than a moment in that. Much like I only spent a moment anywhere in my NDE. I think that is something that person wanted to see or even wanted to experience. And to be quite frank, I think the ideals of religion are simply so deeply engrained in some folks that they MUST experience hell to understand what heaven is. Love to you!

What i don’t understand is that there are so many different stories, dots who ar not connected at all. Some of them really talked with Christ and where told he is coming soon. Just looking at the current state of this world has also been written down in many parts of the Bible like revelation. And why are Christians being hunted down and killed for their belief. What is see is that a lot of things who are written down are currently actual… is that a coincidence?
@jeffr2916
@jeffr2916 10 ай бұрын
That's understandable. Do you really think, when you look at everything that we know of in the universe, that whoever made that would have just one way for everything possible to experience things? Just like people are individuals and everyone is different, that moment of death is custom made for their situation. As far as things lining up with religious text... those books have been translated, added to, taken away from and shaped to fit. They are written so that anything can be explained. Thousands of years ago people were saying the end of the earth is neigh. I find that very sad because it's an existence that concentrates on death and not the life we have. Simply put, there is no easy or one way to explain what we don't yet understand. What resonates with you and brings you peace... that's important. I wish you all the best!😊

It's not just Christians hunted for their beliefs. No matter who you are and what you believe, someone will want you gone for it. I've yet to hear an NDE story of a Hindu seeing Jesus, or a Christian meeting Vishnu. It sounds like you meet the spirit that you're most comfortable with during this.

Thanks for sharing. I believe this was a NDE of sorts. But it just seems a bit empty, like he was given a holiday from his distress. Like he may have been so down in spirit even the smallest lesson or interaction was too much. There doesn't appear to be any divine knowledge that people tend to describe like lessons on love or about suffering they caused or forgiveness or experiences with loved ones, angels, God, or Jesus or a purpose to come home to. I hope there's more for this man as he seems still in a place of confusion, trapped in his mind, trying to decipher things from poor logic and rationalisations. There's a whole lot of generalisations from what is a narrow experience even if it is in the afterlife, its still a narrow experience. A bunch of parties and bubbles is probably what he needed. I take this NDE as a holiday from suffering only. Extending that narrow NDE into a knowledge base around spirituality and religion and humanity and divine is too far reaching.

Let's put it this way, since my young childhood I had suicidal idealization. I would teeder and rock on the ledge of my 2nd story open window looking down at the concrete wondering if I did a header if it would be enough. This experience gave me divine intervention since that's what you are getting at. Since then I've never been THAT far again. It's extremely difficult to explain an experience like mine clearly. This is the third time I've ever opened up about it in my life so that's where the not so clearness comes from 😊 I don't practice these talks and I don't memorize a story, I re-live it every time I tell it. I'm actually quite clear in my life and I wish you peace 😊

You know, too many times people blame God or Jesus for religious teachings. We have to remember that God is not human nor superhuman. God is an energy source of nothing but positive. Jesus according to the Bible is basically part God in human form with limited Godhood if you will, but we as humans cannot see anything more than what is physically here already. The bible was inspired of God, but was written by men who had their own opinions and takes of how God works and teachings of Jesus. According to the Bible, you can only have one death, and after that, you do not come back. With all the NDEs I have heard about, I know that God is real, I know Jesus is real, but I know that religions depict them to the degree that it drives spirituality away, and replaces it with orders and rules. The Bible is a good thing to read as long as it's within context, but you can literally make something bad be good or good be bad depending on your agenda. Biblically speaking, the Bibles description of hell according to Revelations it says that death and hell will be cast into an eternal lake of fire and be destroyed. Well, first of all, hell being preached on so much, cannot be destroyed with fire if it is fire itself. Secondly, the Bible says when you are dead, you are in the grave waiting for Jesus to return to judge every soul and no one has entered into heaven even to this day. We know that is not true again because NDE experiences have living testimonies to the contrary. I think it's time people stop worrying about saving their own souls and recognize that religion divides the soul, and spirituality heals the soul. We need to connect soul to soul with other people, not person to person. Take every teaching in the bible that teaches you to be positive and start rejecting any that divides the soul from another soul. It would be wise to remember that not every person is good though, because there are truly some really evil people in the world, but just like God or the most positive energy exists, so does negative energy and people can embody one or the other or both. We all have purpose in what we are here for, and how we live works together with each other. I truly think that is why in a life review you replay the lows and highs in life for perspective to know that life is a balance like everything else. The soul knows love in raw form, but how to be able to give and receive it as humans is nearly impossible for most. I am 42 and it took me a really long time to stop listening to everyone's opinion and to start researching myself. I left God when I was 19 because I was taught to be gay was a sin and I was going to hell. I came back to God with a different perspective and understanding that God is always a creator and how that creator is taught is dependent from a human perspective. I no longer listen to someone else's beliefs and take it as truth, but I do respect all people's beliefs as I believe that we are all walking the paths we were born to walk anyway. Religion would not exist without reason, just like the soul would not leave a great and loving source without a reason. In the end, we must all learn to accept and love each other for who we are and also for who we are not. I am sending this to help anyone who may struggle with finding meaning in life, but I truly believe that my life is the result now of a previous life I lived that was very nasty to anyone different than myself in that past life. I do believe we experience our lives now to reflect the previous life that we did not connect with before. Had I not been through the whole judgements throughout my life here, I would have believed the Christian fundamental beliefs like everyone else, but because I can see a different outlook, I can honestly say I feel more connected to God than I ever did before and I never have experienced an NDE. Much love to you all.

I did chalk this up to hallucinating for many years. What changed my mind were a number of things such as: being able to still recall how I felt in the experience many many year later, recalling details as if it happened yesterday and finally, an unshakable feeling that it was real. I've delved in some hallucinogens since and absolutely none of those experiences offered the crisp reality of my NDE. Still, it's no problem for me if people see it as a hallucination. I just hope to help some folks who dearly need it.

19:20 Emmanuel Swedenborg and Jakob Lorber are two great Christian prophets. In the book "Spiritual Sun," Jesus Christ reveals to Jakob Lorber the inner worlds of each spirit, where the spirit creates its own reality in the afterlife. Both authors reveal so much knowledge that it is comparable to the entire Vedic philosophy of India. It is revealed to Jakob Lorber that the scriptures of India are an ancient prediluvian covenant...

Many people have died for several minutes and returned to life and told their story. If all the stories were the same i could believe it. But, each story is unique, no two stories are the same. The fact of the matter is no two people have met God, angels, been to heaven, it is only the lack of blood and oxygen and day dreaming, that's why each experience is different. If there was a god, angels, heaven, at least some of the stories would be the same. I do think each person believes what they saw was true, they are not lying or trying to scam us.

You are wrong my friend. God himself appeared to me one night and let me tell you the fear I had when he appeared was unexplainable. If he wouldn’t have said fear not I just want to show you something my body would have been destroyed. I saw the fear leave my body and then he commanded my spirit to rise out of my body and sit in the figure of his hand. He then took me up and showed me some things that would happen to me in the near future and just like God showed me it indeed happened. After he showed me these things we had an awesome experience together and then he took me above the Heavens and let me look down on my Kingdom. He said he would bless me because of my faithfulness. Please listen to me Gid is real and ever present. Don’t let the world deceive you into believing he doesn’t exist because there will be a day of Judgement. God is a God of love but he will turn his back on you if you reject him in the end.
