I went through this headache a few months back. Gremlin after gremlin. Id honestly recommend replacing the entire distributor. Jus make sure its a known brand or ac delco

The 4 cylinder GM that in my old hyster forklift. Is not like this. My coil screws down on 4 corners of the Distributor cap. Cap looks like a 8 cyl. Cap big an bulky thing. Bur 4 of the spark plug pin are only real. The other 4 are plastic. It skips every 2nd one. I been told it looks like gm iron duke. But it not slanted as I read this 2.5 was a 283 but gm cur it in half to make this 4 banger. So if it was. The head would be slanted. But it's not. An is runs Quiet not like the iron dukes I've seen videos of that sounds like a diesel running not the case. Any way I having hell of a time trying to find parts. The gm dealer says they don't suport any of gm 4 bangers. Napa an 2 other parts store don't have a listing for a 4cyl Gm but gm is stamped in the block an Exhaust manifold. I need new coil, cap an rotor wire set. Wire have a long strait boot on plug end an a 90 on dist. End with a Grove on top end of boot that go into a plastic ring an lock them in. As well locks into the coil. With out these parts I have no spark any more. Past few days I miss fire an no power then today I start it to move it. Let it warm up an pull a head 10' an it shuts down.. no spark at all. It could be the Ignition module in the distributor or the pick up coil but starting with cap an coil as cap an rotor look real bad. But can find them never mind a pick up or Module

Hardcore Garage, 1990 S10 replaced the starter for a friend was fun... Hook the ground for the battery backup and it started to crank... The ignition was in the off position. Turn the key on, held the ground wire to the battery and it started. Immediately pulled the ground wire off so not to burn out the starter again. I'm thinking bad switch. What do you think? Any help....

My 93 2.5 starting to backfire when starting. Getting worse. New distributor about 5 years and plug wires also ???

@@HardCoreGarage 89 as well and it needs the engine built i have a great block and all the body kit is there will need repairs and rear end maybe been lowered in fron already and its a og black truck my dad wanted to put buckets and console in it but havent yet new tank and sending unit and has i roc wheels on it needs a bed i have the og bed with the body kit still on it and a really really good dash has only 2 very small cracks
