Dear aaj champavat me uss jagha DM office hai jo 10, 12 saal pahele hi bana hai.. Aur office me main entrance me yeh board par likha huya hai. Aaj ek bhi tiger waha nahi milta hai. Kumaun region me hi densely forest hai. Ab Leopards hi hai. Mai waha 2015 tak waha raha hu. 2004 se champavat dekha hai. Beautiful place hai.

Tigers usually don't attack humans but what happened with that tigress is really shocking. Hunters used to hunt tigers and not every tiger shot at was killed some survived with injuries. It is said at the Champawat maneater was shot on its face, leaving it with broken upper and lower canine teeth on the right side, which meant that she was not able to hunt and was continuously in pain.
