I just watched an eleven and a half minute video about an hour and a half long movie based on a one minute joke. The original joke? Well a young sailor joins his ship for the first time and is bored after a few days of sailing. He’s directed to “the barrel” and told to “stick it in” being assured it’s okay because the whole crew does it. It felt great so he went back for more on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and it all felt great but on Friday he stuck it in and nothing happened. He advised the Captain of the malfunction and the Captain said “Of course it didn’t work, it’s Friday. It’s your turn to be in the barrel.”

Reminded me little bit on this : To become a friar. The man is welcomed warmly into the brotherhood, and a fellow friar takes him on a tour of the place. They made a “horror” movie out of the joke: A soldier on deployment in the desert is desperate for some action but there are no women around and he’s forbidden from leaving the base. Another soldier clues him into a secret hole about a mile outside the base, wait until night sneak off put your - in the hole and have fun. The soldier waits a few days then one nite does it and it’s great. He goes back several nites in a row the last time nothing happens. He asks the the guy who told him about it that nothing happened the last time the guy replies, “ well yeah, it’s your turn in the hole”
