I don’t correct my dogs for communicating. I give them what they need or negotiate with what we have to do. Like nail trims. My kids are learning how dogs communicate and how to respect their space. They know how to enforce rules like dogs waiting before going outside and not let the dogs push past them by speaking their language. I think it matters greatly how parents teach their children to interact with animals. That creates a foundation for how they will be as adults. I think about keeping them safe and preventing accidents even as they get older and I may not be with them to keep them safe. Also I want to raise good humans that are compassionate with animals in general.

🐕 i agree about this 1000% I think youre doing a great thing by educating people because i do think unfortunately a lot of dog owners just dont know shit about dogs. Im no professional by any means but when i even started thinking about a dog i started putting hours in watching different trainers and reading up on things and i keep on looking for new ways to better train my dog and build up a new foundation for him to be a better advocate for his breed (hes an XL bully) than he has been 😅 hes a rescue from a real shitty house that abused him and probably didnt socialize him really so hes kind of reactive. I like your stuff a lot as well as Zak George you guys seem to really love dogs and have the right motivations

🐕yes, I find it distressing watching people wind up their dogs like this. It is always going to be the dog that suffers if it does bite, despite the obvious warning to the human. And another thing that really annoys me is vids of obese animals, so cruel.
