Looking good 👍 I was expecting the cross brace to be continuous and the notching would been in the inch box
@skidmores.garageАй бұрын
@@williamholmes9129 as a rule you notch the thinner material and also the box is the main frame for the radius arm mounting so ideally you want to keep that complete

@@Peakwanderer his is a awesome looking bit of kit isn’t it. He runs a dry sump setup also to get the engine that little bit lower

All the arms I've seen are positive camber Matt. Channel (HRE IRL) did a video on lining up a bush with the stub axle, title (Modifying Rear Swing Arm For Classic Race Mini) but he's way off in his thinking IMO. I'll put a link in my next comment but I'm not sure it will show up.

Loving the videos, Im looking possibly getting one of custom minis fibreglass mini vans/pick up, would i need to fit some kind off roll cage? If so where do i mount it too?
@skidmores.garageАй бұрын
@@JasonKane77 thanks mate I’m glad you are enjoying my stuff and appreciate you watching. Custom mini complete body shells are really strong by themselves. I would have a minimal intrusive cage in my self just for the safety aspect of an accident. It would need to pickup on the front and rear subframe areas ideally or sandwich the floor with some spreader plates.

@@skidmores.garage thanks mate, much appreciated with the info
@skidmores.garageАй бұрын
@@JasonKane77 no problem mate. I did a cage for a sprint body before, there is videos on it and it just used a safety devices weld in cage that was modified so you could go down that route
