There was a really heartwarming story about Guy Gaudreau as well, he was with the flames for their morning skate and the flames equipment manager (Mark DePasquale) is the same guy from when Johnny first started there. Mark had kept an extra of one of Johnnys sticks from his time with the flames, and so that stick was the one given to his father to use (and keep) during the practice.

I would pay to see that, for sure. Leafs piano duet- sounds classy. Wait… just had a great idea: Overlay some Grebenkin quotes and guttural Robertson screams. Throw in some guitars, and you’ll have a good foundation for a melodic metal band.

This Minten/Grebenkin duo are a buddy cop duo waiting to happen. The straight man and the "I kill you, you kill me. It's business. No problem" guy. Or for guys old enough, Balki and Cousin Larry. If I'm Tre I keep these guys together. Line mates, room mates. Same contact etc. It'd be a contest to bilingualism because Minten would probably have fun learning another language. And Grebenkin seems like a kid you could turn anything into a game and he'd want to win. In 2 years you add Willy to the line and I bet it's a handful. I'd try it now really. Or when someone is healthy/capable of joining 34 on line 1 in Willy's spot. Ideally Domi. Him and Auston have side chemistry whet they're both going. .

I lived in Northern Ontario on Manitoulin Island. Born in 1971. Grew up collecting collecting hockey cards loving the Habs. They were awesome. The Scotty Bowman moved to the Sabres and I became a long time fan. It wasn't until I left Canada to live abroad to finally being a Leafs fan again. I feel sad for the Sabres. And the Habs.

I'll start by saying that hockey's not as important as life and death, and losing Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau goes so far beyond hockey for their teammates (not to mention their family). I agree that Columbus have handled the situation as well as it could be handled, but I really felt for the Jackets players yesterday. Such an intensely emotional ceremony, then those guys are asked to go out and play at the highest level of their sport... they just seemed to have less left in the tank than the Flames.

At this point, the Nashville Predators would have to cancel team tickets to the last show of the Taylor Swift tour and the Oasis reunion to turn this season around. Nobody in charge of more than their own shoes should have a job in the Sabres organization right now.

Adin Hill: 17 GP, 11 wins, 2 shutouts, .900 SV% (Vegas is 3rd) Jordan Binnington: 20 GP, 8 wins, 1 shutout, .900 SV% (St. Louis is 17th) Sam Montembeault: 20 GP, 8 wins, 3 shutouts, .906 SV% (Montreal is 30th!!!!) Monty plays for a bottom feeder team (I would know, I cheer for them) and still has the best stats. Tied for the league lead in shutouts! No more Montembeault slander here

I think it's too soon still with Minten to definitively say if he's the 3C for the playoffs or not. He's clearly got the smarts and defensive awareness, he's ok on the dot, he's physical, and he's got a decent scoring touch. IMO he should stay with the team and should be evaluated until the end of January. If he continues to mature then the TDL acquisition doesn't necessarily have to be a centre, if he begins to struggle or show growing pains then we should make a 3C a priority add for the TDL.

Listen, I spend a ton of my evenings watching a variety of games around the league. The MSG broadcast is pretty solid, but Valiquette is a complete Rangers homer lol. There's even a clip of him on Twitter that goes viral occasionally from 2019, where he *celebrated* the Rangers getting Kakko rather than Jack Hughes.

The Blackhawks are so bad that The Leafs who did not care at all, handed them a win on a silver platter, and they still lost. That's special levels of bad, they are worse than Columbus.

Valiquette is a regular on the Real Kyper and Bourne show. He was on yesterday and explained himself. Dangle is 100% right here. Valiquette was actually more upset with the Rangers than Hughes. Also, he basically said that Hughes would most likely never attempt something like that in a playoff game, so why do it in a regular season game? It's because Hughes was show boating. Valiquette was pissed that the Rangers just let it happen.

I personally think that the three goalies we should've had were Adin Hill, Mackenzie Blackwood (who even though the Sharks are bad, he's been good), and Sam Montembeault. Binnington, statistically, has not been as good as these three, and hell, even though he was picked over Blackwood, I'd rather have Montembeault be the backup and Binnington the 3rd stringer.

Steve there’s literally no reason to be hating on Tommy Novak. He’s like an actual top 6 player that’s just not adjusting to the new regime in Nashville. He’s gonna get waived or traded and return to a guy who’s on pace for 60-70 points a season. Besides that I literally do not know why you guys talked about this due to the fact, STAMKOS HAS BEEN A CENTER HIS ENTIRE CAREER, HE HAS EVEN PLAYED 2C IN TAMPA AS RECENT AS EARLIER THIS YEAR. Nashville already has a second line center, they are willingly choosing to not play him there, that’s what should be criticized. Not Tommy Novak 😭😭😭. (This is quite literally the third or fourth time you’ve bashed him in a month)

There are just over 9 mill people living in the State of New Jersey, just over the amount of population living in Quebec. Now the state of New Jersey isn't very big, its approx the size/distance from Lethbridge to the border. Okay. The next issue is how close/proximate is the city of New York to the state of New Jersey, well instead of measuring the driving distance from one to the other, lets add up the approximate areas in squared kms to give us an idea. The city of New York has less size then the city of Calgary in square Kms, and now we can add in the squared Kms of Philadelphia (as its right next door to New Jersey), but why stop at New York City, New Jersey State, Philadelphia, why not add in Connecticut, maybe even Massachusetts. I'm sure people drive from Cambridge/Kitchener to Toronto - daily, so we can add in those people who are driving from Mass/Conn to get to New York/New Jersey, you name it. Now remember, using rough estimates of square kms (we don't have to be precise, we can use Wiki) and estimates of population, we can come to certain understandings. New Jersey St = 9.2 mill in 19047 sq kms New York City = 8.8 mil in 778 sq kms Mass = 7.0 mill in 20202 sq kms Philly = 1.5 mil in 347.9 sq kms Connecticut = 3.6 mil in 12559 sq kms Total
@2Jim2u
@2Jim2u 3 күн бұрын
30.1 mill people in 52 933.9 square kms .... but that doesn't give us anything, only numbers. Now lets compare that volume of people in that area to other areas that we might be aware of like provincial totals: Alberta 640 082 square kms with 4.3 mill, Ontario 892 411 square kms with 14.2 mill, Quebec 1 365 128 square kms with 8.5 mill people. BTW Vancouver Island has 32 100 square kms with est population of 864 864. So comparing the New Jersey state and vicinity to that of Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, and finally Vancouver Island. 52 933.9/Alberta's 640 082 = 8.26% of the entire provincial size = i guesstimated it at Red Deer south to the border. 52 933.9/Ontario's 892 411 = 5.93% of the entire provincial size = maybe south of GTA? 52 933.9/Quebec's 1 365 128 = 3.87% of the entire provincial size = but with a larger population in New Jersey alone. Vancouver Island has 32 100 square kms vs 52 933.9 = 60.6% of the entire area of those states, New York City and Philadelphia incl.

However if you look at what the Jets have had to deal with the last few weeks is insane they have been screwed over by the schedule makers worst then I have seen in a while l. They had a semi long road trip, 1 game at home then a monster road trip that made them circumnavigate the entire US... And get back for just one game... They have also lost Ehlers and samberg and also it is evident schifelle is hurt.. I pray that they can turn it around on their next road trip.. God I can't wait for them to be home
